PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 10, COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 6
The visiting Colonials trailed 3-2 after three innings and then erupted for eight runs over the next three innings to take control of the game.
Liv Brodzinski and Lori Flannery led the Colonials’ offensive attack with three hits each while Emma Keeley earned the win in the circle, allowing two hits and one run (unearned) in two innings in 
relief.
PW’s win came on the heels on a 2-1 11-inning loss to West Chester East.
For the Golden Hawks, Mickey DeYoung and Margot McLean hit back-to-back solo home runs to lead off the sixth inning to make it a 10-5 game. They added a run in the seventh but that’s as close as they would get.

Key inning: Top of fifth – The Colonials took a tenuous 4-3 lead into the fifth inning when they scored three runs. Liv Brodzinski led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on an error. With one out, Maddie Swift 
lined a single to left. Both runners scored when Lori Flannery tripled to center. She later scored on a wild pitch to put the Colonials on top 8-3.

--The game: “I’m so proud of the way our team bounced back from yesterday’s 11-inning loss to battle for a tough road win at CR South. We just played 18 innings of softball in the last 26 hours versus two of the top teams in the district, and that isn’t easy to do.
“We were able to score a run in the first today but then gave up three in the bottom of the second. Earlier in the year, we would have tightened up and possibly crumbled. Today, we fought back, putting up runs (nine total) in each of the next four innings to secure the win.”
--Props: “We had offensive production up and down the lineup today, led by Lori Flannery (3-for-4, 2B, 3B, 2R, 3 RBI) and Liv Brodzinski (3-for-4). Zoey Robinson, Joslyn Perez (2B), Gia Bono (2B), Anna Powel, and Maddie Swift (3B) all collected two hits.
“Teagan Stanley was solid in the start in the circle, Ava McEvoy did a great job in the middle three innings, and Emma Keely came in the last two innings to shut it down.”

Delaney Stout emerged the winner in a classic pitcher’s duel, allowing just two hits in the complete game shutout. She fanned 14 and walked one in a superb outing.
“Sometimes you simply have to give credit to the opposing team and their pitcher for the reason we lost,” West coach Mike Daher said. “Delaney Stout was outstanding today. She threw strikes all day long, giving up only one walk on the day. And she pitched every batter tough the entire day. She only allowed two hits, a two-out double to Sam Hooven and a two out infield single to Marley Swain.
“In fact, on the day, we only had three runners reach base, and all three of them reached base with two outs. She threw 101 pitches on the day and 72 of them were for strikes. She struck out 14 batters, and when you have that many strikeouts and very few runners reaching base, it is just really difficult to pull out a win.”
UM’s only run – which came in the top of the fifth – was unearned and without the benefit of a hit.
CB West freshman Brielle Jenner turned in a standout effort of her own, scattering four hits and allowing no earned runs. She fanned six and walked one.
Jordyn Gibbs had two of UM’s four hits.

Key inning: Top of fifth – Alaina Darsney led off the inning and was safe on an error. She advanced to second on a groundout and moved up to third on a groundout. She scored the game’s only run on a passed ball.

"After a tough loss last week for us, we knew we had to reset and come back ready to play for today's game against a solid CB West team. As a young team to be able to work hard to reset, make adjustments and get the win today, we as coaches could not be more proud of them.
"Delaney Stout was outstanding again for us today! She has been having a great season and today was no different. Sofia Magagna also did a great job behind the plate today! Freshman Alaina Darsney scored the winning run stealing home with great heads up base running."
Central Bucks West coach Mike Daher:
“On a positive note for our team, freshman Brielle Jenner pitched a great game for us. Brielle went six full innings and gave up only four hits while walking one batter and striking out six Upper Moreland hitters. Brielle has really come on this year and pitched some great games for us. It is exciting having two solid pitchers in Kendall Kornuszko and Brielle Jenner, and they are both underclassmen. They are both throwing really well right now."

The Ghosts scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth to earn the come-from-behind win in Tuesday’s back and forth contest.
Abington led 2-0 after one inning but Bensalem came back to knot the score, plating single runs in the second and third innings. Gina Oliverio’s solo home run accounted for Bensalem’s run in the third.
The Owls took a 4-2 lead with a pair of runs in the fifth, but the Ghosts rallied to even the score in the bottom of the inning. Bensalem scored a run in the top of the sixth only to see the Ghosts rally for two in the bottom of the inning.
Bensalem – thanks to singles by Aubrey Merz and Dana Oliverio – put a pair of runners on board with one out in the seventh, but Danica Santiago retired the next two batters she faced to earn the complete game win.
Mia Lucke and Grace Meehan both had three hits to lead the Ghosts while Gina Oliverio led the Owls with three hits.

With one out, Mia Lucke singled for her third hit of the game, and with one out, Grace Meehan lined a single to center. Both runners advanced a base on the throw with Luck scoring the tying run. Meehan scored the go-ahead run on a passed ball.

“Mia Lucke had an excellent day in center field and went 3-for-4 at the plate, giving us an all-around performance.
“Raquel Quesada has been doing an excellent job catching this year. She has been steady and a confident presence on the field.”

In tightly contested battle that included three ties, the Titans trailed by one heading into the bottom of the sixth when they plated three runs to go on top 8-6.
Alexis Griffin, who earned the complete game win, retired the Lions in order in the top of the seventh, and the win in Tuesday’s SOL crossover game was in the books.
Cam Lee drove in four runs to lead the Titans.
For the Lions, Dagny Mobley, Morgan Foster and Mabel Klossner each had three hits.

The Falcons wasted little time before seizing control of Tuesday’s crossover non-league game. In the bottom of the first, Jaylynn Rodweller smashed a two-run home run, and in a five-run second, freshman Kaelyn Crocker hit a two-run homer.
Freshman Paige Fidishun earned the win in the circle, scattering six hits and allowing one run – an Ava Jones solo home run in the fourth inning.
“We have to give credit to Ava Jones,” Pennsbury coach Frank McSherry. “She hit a home run over our scoreboard. It was a bomb, so good for her.”

The Indians owned Tuesday’s crossover game from the outset. After allowing an unearned run in the top of the first, they scored four runs in the bottom of the inning, reeling off 13 unanswered runs in the abbreviated mercy rule win.
Ava Detwiler got the job done in the circle and at the plate. The Indians’ senior started and allowed just one hit and one run (unearned) while fanning four in two innings. At the plate, Detwiler was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, driving in a pair of runs in the first that included the game-winner.
Skyler Byrnes – in just her second stint in the circle – did not allow a hit in three scoreless innings in a strong outing.
Kiera Fadden continued her offensive tear, smashing a pair of home runs and driving in three runs. All told, the Indians pounded out 14 hits in the abbreviated game.

A pair of runs scored on a single to center by Ava Detwiler, and two more runs scored on a single by Emma Messmer, giving the Indians a 4-1 lead.

All it took was one big inning.
The Patriots erupted for 12 runs in the bottom of the third, bringing an early end to the game. East held a 14-3 advantage in hits and also benefitted from costly Lady Panther miscues.
Layla Becker notched the win with three shutout innings.
The Patriots were led by the three-hit efforts of Carly Franklin, Olivia Owtscharuk and Ashlyn Helmstetter.

The Tigers pounded out 13 hits, and Melanie Mahler tossed the complete game in the circle, allowing five hits and six runs but only two earned runs.
Truman put the game out of reach with six runs in the fifth and sixth innings combined. Lucianna Oliveras led the Tigers hit parade with three hits – including a double – and two RBIs.
For the Trojans, Julia Lentz accounted for four of her team’s five hits.

“Again, Mel Mahler is crushing the ball and pitching really well. Braelyn (Horan) had a two-run bomb, and when I say bomb, it was a bomb in the bottom of the sixth, and it sealed the win.
“So many players - there’s a freshman who’s catching for us. Her name is Alyvia Albertelli. Skyler (Mahler) hurt her shoulder, so Liv has stepped in the last two or three games, and again, she’s just been fantastic, helping us get our feet back under us.”
“If we can get our defense cleaned up, we will be a tough out. Walks, unearned runs – that’s a focus of ours. If we clean that up, we hope we can be there and, hopefully, have a postseason spot. That’s what we’re shooting for.”

Neshaminy upped its winning streak to 10 games with a decisive win in Tuesday’s SOL crossover. The Redskins took a 2-0 lead into the fourth inning when they plated a pair, and they brought an early end to the contest with a six-run fifth.
Zahmira Coppola-Miller’s two-run single capped the six-run inning that was highlighted by a Lily Mormello RBI double.
Addie Pennisi’s three-hit effort led the ‘Skins.
Molly Ambrosius allowed just two hits and did not walk a batter in five shutout innings to earn the win.

A walk to Ashley Entenman forced home a run, and the Redskins led 2-0.

It didn’t take long for the Rams to take control of Tuesday’s crossover game. After putting a run on the board in the first, the Rams scored five in the second with Emersyn Lesher’s three-run double the big blow in the inning. A 10-run third brought an early end to the contest and featured 10 free passes.
Payton Keyser was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs.
Madison Heinrich threw three shutout innings and did not allow a hit in notching the win. She did not walk a batter and struck out four.

The Villanova-bound senior allowed just one hit in the complete game shutout. Connolly fanned eight and walked one.
The Knights, meanwhile, scored all the runs she would need in a five-run first. For the game, they collected 11 hits and made it look easy after suffering their only loss of the season in their last outing at Pennsbury.

Another run scored on a groundout, and Brandi Groark’s RBI single put the Knights on top 5-0.

“We had three great practices after our last game this past week. We made a few adjustments in our batting order for today's game, and it worked out well.
“Felicia had another great game, giving up only one hit and was in command the whole game. The good thing about this team is that they are not afraid to work hard, making sure everyone is on the same page before we leave a practice.”
