Natalie Neubauer tossed a one-hit shutout in Tuesday’s abbreviated win.
Momentum turned in the Golden Hawks’ favor with two outs in the top of the third when they rallied for five runs to all but put the game out of reach.
Sophia Salamon’s three-run home run highlighted the big inning. She led the Hawks with four RBIs while freshman Ashlyn Curtier also had herself a big day.
Curtier hit a three-run home run in a four-run fourth.

The rally began when Jenna Pesapane drew a two-out walk, and Ashlyn Curtier followed with a double to center. The bases were load after Paige Brady drew a walk. Avery Ochs followed with a two-run single, and Sophia Salamon delivered the big blow – a three-run home run to left field that put the Golden Hawks on top 6-0.

--Back in business: “After an eight-day break from competition, we were able to put together a series of highly productive practices focused on fundamentals. The players responded exceptionally well, and it showed in today’s performance against a strong Pennsbury team. While our record 
stood at 3–4 entering the game, we’ve consistently played quality softball and believe we have the talent to compete with anyone. The growth from our winter workouts to now has been impressive, especially for a young team continuing to learn and develop together.
“We’re looking forward to carrying this momentum into the rest of the week, with two more games scheduled for Thursday and Friday.”
--Neubauer delivers: ‘Natalie Neubauer delivered another dominant performance in the circle. After allowing a leadoff single, she retired the next 15 batters to close out the game. On the season, she now has both a no-hitter and a one-hitter, and her presence continues to give the team great confidence.”
--Props: “Defensively, we were sharp across the board, highlighted by standout plays from Margot McLean at first base, Paige Brady in right field, and Molly Gabriele in center.
“We also saw several milestone moments offensively. Sophia Salamon had a breakout performance, driving in four runs with a double and her first career varsity home run. Her hard work has been evident, and it was great to see her efforts translate into such a strong performance.”
--More props: “Freshman Ashlyn Curtier contributed in a big way with three RBIs, a double, and her first varsity home run. She has made an immediate impact this season, both at the plate and defensively at shortstop, where she has been a steady presence.
“Another freshman, Avery Ochs, delivered a key two-RBI single, continuing to show consistency and maturity in her at-bats. Jenna Pesapane added an RBI double in the fifth inning, scored twice, and drew two walks, demonstrating strong plate discipline and quality at-bats throughout the game.
“Paige Brady continued her strong season with a double in the first inning and two walks, consistently providing quality at-bats and setting the tone offensively. Mia Musto also had a memorable day, recording her first varsity hit while going 1-for-2 with a run scored and a hit-by-pitch. She made the most of her opportunity, contributing both offensively and defensively with a solid performance in left field.”

Truman led 4-3 after one inning, but a seven-run top of the second gave the Indians control on their way to the mercy rule non-league win.
Kayla Ripper’s 5-for-5 effort led the Golden Hawks’ hit parade.

Keira Secoda was 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Redskins’ 21-hit attack in Tuesday’s mercy rule win. Eight of Neshaminy’s hits were for extra bases with Zahmira Coppola- Miller and Sophia Morton each contributing a home run. Jill Rickards’ four RBI effort led the Redskins.
Addie Pennisi and Molly Ambrosius shared pitching duties in the abbreviated win.

Shannon Skeels emptied the bases with a two-run triple to center field. Skeels circled the bases on an error. The Indians won a thriller when Kiera Fadden – who tripled - scored the game-winner in the bottom of the seventh for the walk-off win.
South took a 3-2 lead into the sixth when the Indians benefitted from a pair of walks and a Titans’ miscue to plate an unearned run that knotted the score.
Earlier, South took a 1-0 lead in the first when Erin Ruddell, who hit a leadoff double, scored on a single by Maddie Motley. Skyler Byrnes evened the score in the third with a one-out solo home run to center field.
South took a 3-1 lead in the top of the fourth without collecting a hit. The Indians trimmed that lead to one in the bottom of the inning when Kathryn Jones, who doubled, scored on a double play.

--The game: “Tonight was a hard-fought game by both teams. CB South is a class act, and they always play hard. Coach Theis has done a great job of keeping the tradition of being a successful softball program.
“Alexis Griffin threw a great game for CB South and really made us work for every run. Our pitchers came up big for us again. Madi Mott only gave up one earned run, and Katie Straub, in relief, didn't allow any runs. I told our girls, win, lose, or draw, these are the type of games I want us to have every night. These are the type of games that test you mentally and physically, which will ultimately prepare you for bigger moments.”
--Props: “Katie Straub has come in in relief against two top five teams in the district the past couple of games and didn't allow any runs. She is a freshman but has exceptional poise and mental toughness. I can't say enough about how she has come in some tough spots and has allowed us to compete. She is a special player.”

The Bucks traveled to Druckenmiller Park to take on the Rams in a Tuesday afternoon contest, and it was the Bucks rallying from an early 3-0 hole to earn the win.

Key inning: Top of the seventh – The Bucks broke a 3-3 tie in the seventh, Jill Boyle reached base on a Pennridge error. Boyle advanced to second on a well-placed sacrifice bunt off the bat of second baseman Addie McMackin. After the second out was made, catcher Sam Hooven came to bat with a chance to drive in the go ahead run for West. Hooven fouled off four pitches before hitting a single into shallow center field that scored Jill Boyle with the go-ahead run for the Bucks.
Central Bucks West coach Mike Daher:
--The game: Pennridge got on the board first against freshman pitcher Brielle Jenner, who was making her second start of the season for the Bucks. Jenner pitched a complete game shutout in her first start against Hopewell Valley Central High School, but she got into some early trouble against the Rams’ offense when four of the first five batters for Pennridge collected hits.
Payton Keyser led off the game for Pennridge with a double to left field. After a strikeout for the inning’s first out, Taylor Toutkoushian drove in the first run of the day for the Rams with an RBI single. Pitcher Madison Heinrich followed with another single to put runners on second and third. Jules Pliszka drove in the second Rams run with another RBI single. And finally, Jadyn Gulbinski drove in the final run of the inning with a groundout RBI. When the first inning ended, the Rams were up 3-0.
Fortunately for Central Bucks West, Pennridge would not plate another run for the rest of the afternoon. The Bucks tied up the game by scoring single runs in three consecutive innings. Makala Burkholder led off the second inning for West with a double into the left center field gap. Burkholder came around to score on a dropped third strike and a throwing error by Pennridge. West scored their second run of the day in the top of the third inning when Jill Boyle led off the inning with a double to dead center field and came around to score on an RBI single by Marley Swain. The third run for the Bucks came in the top of the fourth inning when Taylor Sheplock started the inning with a single to shallow left field. After advancing to second on a passed ball, Sheplock scored when a Pennridge player misplayed a ball off the bat of Hailey Worthington. The next two innings did not produce runs for either team until West scored the go-ahead run in their half of the seventh inning.
“This was a pitcher's win for West as after getting out of the first inning, Brielle Jenner would pitch another three and two-thirds inning without giving up a single run. Kendall Kornuszko was then called upon to finish out the game for West. Kornuszko retired all eight batters she faced over the final two and two thirds innings. Kornuszko picked up the win for the Bucks in relief of Jenner. Madison Heinrich made a strong showing for Pennridge, going the entire seven innings for the Rams and giving up only two earned runs on the day. Heinrich struck out five Bucks hitters and gave up only six hits in all. Central Bucks West won the contest by a final score of 4-3.

“Today was a heartbreaker. Madison (Heinrich) threw a great game, and we didn’t do enough to take care of the ball behind her. On that note, a huge congratulations to Madison for throwing her 400th career strikeout. She is a sophomore and has stepped into a big role in a tough conference. She has a lot of upside, and it’s going to be exciting to see her development.
“Team-wise, our mistakes are fixable, and we will keep working to get better. It was a battle through seven innings, and I’m proud of our team for getting stronger each game. CB West was resilient and stayed tough the whole game, they have a nice squad.”

The Knights continued to roll, winning for the 11th time in as many games. They scored the only run they would need in the top of the first when Gabby Battavio – who singled with one out and moved up to second on a single by Tallie Smink – scored on a two-out single by Brandi Groarke.
Felicia Connolly notched the win, throwing four shutout innings while striking out eight. Groarke tossed a scoreless fifth inning.

The Hatters opened up a 15-4 lead with three runs in the top of the sixth and then withstood a tenacious Trojan comeback attempt. Wiss scored three runs in the sixth and added five more in the seventh, but the Hatters prevailed.
In a contest that saw the teams combine for 27 runs and 25 hits, the Hatters were led by the three-hit efforts of Cara Neeld and Molly Harrington while the Trojans received three-hit games from Giuliana Schumann, Julia Lentz and Tara Plover. Lentz finished a home run shy of the cycle while Plover needed a double to complete the cycle.

A 16-run outburst in the top of the sixth blew open a close game and brought an early end to the contest. The Panthers pounded out 25 hits in the abbreviated contest.

Dagny Mobley stole the spotlight in the circle and at the plate. The Lions’ pitcher tossed a two-hit shutout in the six-inning contest, striking out nine. She also was 2-for-3 with a double and RBI.
Kaylee Harris also had a pair of hits, including a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning.

Delaney Stout was in command in the circle, allowing just two hits and one earned run while fanning 11 in a winning effort for the Golden Bears.
Lower Moreland took a 2-0 lead in the first in an inning that was highlighted by a Molly Weber RBI single. UM scored a single run in the second and two more in the third to go on top 3-2 on their way to the win.
Claire Walton and Layla Knecht each had three hits to lead the Bears’ attack.

The Spartans opened up an 11-0 lead after putting four runs on the board in the top of the third. Cheltenham answered with four runs in the bottom of the inning, but that was the extent of their offense for the abbreviated mercy rule win.
Julia Matthews threw two scoreless innings and left with her team on top 7-0. Rylee Kinzey-Strike and Jordyn Serrao closed out the game for the Spartans.
Juju Cooney and Bea Lyons both had three hits to lead the Spartans. Each had four RBIs. Reese Kaub and Molly McGuckin both had two hits and combined for five RBIs.
For the Lady Panthers, Naomi Wilson and Isabella Nicosia both had two hits.

Kyla Garrison turned in a gem in the circle for the Cardinals, allowing just two hits, two runs (both unearned) and struck out 16.
The Cardinals erased a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. Garrison closed out the sixth and seventh innings by striking out six of the seven batters she faced to secure the win on the mound.
The win brings UD’s record to 7-4 on the season, and it was an important bounce-back, come-from-behind win after a tough loss to Methacton just 24 hours earlier.

Key inning: Bottom of fifth – Trailing 2-0, the Cardinals staged rally and put three runs on the board. With two outs, Amelia Jesuit singled to center field, and that was followed by a single by Maddie Small. Dooley Hennessey drew a walk to load the bases, and then Ava Renye delivered a two-out, two-strike line drive single to the outfield for her second hit of the day that was also misplayed, scoring all three runs.

Then props to Ava Renye for her battle at the plate to hit a hard line drive that scored Jesuit and Small. Courtesy runner Helena Stanley then scored after the ball was misplayed in the outfield with her heads up base running.
“Kyla continues to remain poised and confident on the mound; always the fierce competitor and doing a tremendous job of mixing speeds, locations and just executing all of her pitches. Dooley Hennessey had another outstanding day behind the plate, hanging onto several foul-tip, third strike pitches to secure important outs.”
