PENNSBURY 20, BENSALEM 3 (5 innings)
The Falcons trailed 2-1 after one inning but erased that deficit in a hurry with a seven-run second inning on their way to the win in Tuesday’s abbreviated contest.
Paige Fidishun notched the win in the circle and also had a big day at the plate with a pair of doubles.

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 10, PENNRIDGE 9 (8 innings)
In a game that was a roller coaster of emotions for both sides, it was the Patriots eking out the win in the bottom of the eighth inning.
The visiting Lady Rams – sparked by a five-run third inning – found themselves deadlocked 8-8 
with the Patriots after four innings.
In the bottom of the fifth, East took a 9-8 lead when Hailey Hickman – who doubled to lead off the inning, scored on a one-out single by Olivia Owtscharuk.
Pennridge evened the score in the top of the seventh when Jules Pliszka tripled to left and scored on an error, setting the stage for extra innings where Hickman drove in the game-winner.
Hickman and Hailey Helmstetter led the Patriots with three hits each.
For the Lady Rams, Payton Keyser and Taylor Toutkoushian both had three-hit performances. Toutkoushian, who had a pair of doubles, drove in six runs.
Ashlyn Helmstetter won the game with four strong innings in relief, allowing just two hits and one run (unearned) while striking out seven and walking two.

Key inning: Bottom of eighth – Carly Franklin led off the eighth by ripping a triple to right field, and one out later, she scored the game-winner when Hailey Hickman singled to center.

“Tight game against Pennridge. Neither team wanted to lose and both teams kept battling to the end. Shoutout Rams’ hitters Taylor Toutkoushian and Payton Keyser. both had great games at the plate.
“For us we had strong offensive hitting from Hailey Helmstetter, Carly Franklin, Hailey Hickman, Olivia Owtscharuk and Lyla Becker. A triple by Franklin and single by Hickman got the job done. We are young and learning still.”
Pennridge coach Crystalrae States:
“We had some outstanding offensive performances today. Sophomore Taylor Toutkoushian continues to be a powerhouse at the plate with three hits, including a massive home run, and six RBIs. Senior Payton Keyser was driving the ball well and added three hits and scored three times. Defensively, Emersyn Lesher snagged a shot out of the sky to extend the game. Unfortunately, we didn't take care of the ball defensively as much as we should have, and offensively, need to get more out of our lineup. Overall, it was a fun battle with CB East and a well-fought game.”
Up next: Central Bucks East will host Quakertown in an SOL non-league crossover game Wednesday, and Pennridge will host North Penn next Tuesday.

In a battle for the division’s top spot, it was the Knights opening up an early 7-0 lead on their way to their seventh win without a loss.
Felicia Connolly struck out 16 in the complete game win while Alana Battavio stole the spotlight at the plate with a 3-for-3 effort that included a double, home run, three RBIs and three runs scored.

Key inning: Top of the first – The Knights took the suspense out of this one with a five-run first. Alana Battavio drew a leadoff walk and advanced to second on Gabby Battavio’s sacrifice bunt. Tallie Smink stepped to the plate and smoked a two-run home run to left field. Felicia Connolly followed and drew a walk. Brandi Groarke’s line drive double to center field plated a run. Alana Drummond followed with a single, and Groarke scored on a South miscue. Another run scored on Gianna Howard’s groundout.
Up next: North Penn will travel to Pennridge next Tuesday, and Central Bucks South will host Archbishop Wood in a non-league game on Wednesday.

SOUDERTON 10, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 1
The Indians led 5-0 after two innings and never looked back. Led by the three-hit effort of leadoff batter Emma Lewis, they pounded out 11 hits.
In the circle, Madi Mott scattered three hits in six innings. Katie Straub threw a scoreless seventh.
Ava Detwiler led off the fifth with a solo home run and also doubled home the game’s first run in the first inning.

Key inning: Bottom of first – The Indians set the tone from the outset, putting two runs on the board in the first. Emma Lewis led off the game with her first of three hits. With two outs, Ava Detwiler lined an RBI double to right field, and Kathryn Jones followed with an RBI double to left field. The Indians led 2-0, and they never looked back.
Souderton coach Tyler Bui:
“The girls came out very focused today. Kendall Kornuszko had great control and made us work for every hit. It was a good team effort with 11 players getting on base, and Madi Mott gave us a tremendous effort on the mound with Katie Straub finishing the game with a scoreless seventh inning.
--Lewis leads the charge: “Emma Lewis continues to swing a hot bat. Emma was really down on herself after our home opener last week, and I wanted to keep her at the top of the lineup to show that our coaching staff believes in her. I am proud of how she has bounced back in the past two games with six hits and five RBIs. Emma is a dangerous hitter who can hit to all fields and has the power to hit one out at any time.”
--Mott in command: “Madi Mott is pitching at the varsity level for the first time this year, and I couldn't be more pleased with her performance thus far. Madi has shown great poise and is confident in every situation. She struck out 12 batters in five innings last week against OJR. Today, she went six innings and only gave up three hits. Madi was efficient and had great control. She pitched an incredible game.”
Central Bucks West coach Mike Daher:
"Today against a very good Souderton team, we were only able to scratch out three hits and that is simply not enough to stay competitive against good teams. Outside of Sam Hooven's triple and singles off the bats of Taylor Sheplock and Kat James, we were unable to put an inning together where we could score some runs. We have a few days off now and we need to really focus in on putting the ball in play and trying to get our offensive going. We are a good team; we just need to play show it by being a little more consistent both offensively and defensively."

PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 15, WISSAHICKON 2 (5 innings)
The Colonials took a tenuous 3-2 lead into the fourth inning when they erupted for six runs and then added six more in the fifth to bring an early end to Tuesday’s contest.
Teagan Stanley earned the win in the circle in her first game action since the preseason, and Emma Keely closed it out with 2.1 shutout innings.
Gia Bono’s solo home run to lead off the top of the third gave the Colonials a 3-0 lead only to see the Trojans answer with a pair. The rest of the game belonged to the Colonials.

Joslyn Perez doubled home Robinson, and after Gia Bono was hit by a pitch, Anna Powel singled. Liv Brodzinski’s double, plated a pair of runs. After Lizzy LaNoce walked to load the bases, Teagan Stanley was hit by a pitch to push home a run. In her second at-bat of the frame, Flannery’s sac fly plated the inning’s final run.

“I’m super proud of the team’s effort today. It’s always tough to play over Spring Break when the girls aren’t on their regular schedule. But the girls put in solid practices the past two days and came in today locked in after a couple tough losses last week.”
--Strong in the ciricle: “Teagan Stanley returned to the circle for the first time since the preseason, and it was great to see her throwing so well. And Emma Keely came in and threw two-plus innings of no-hit ball.”
--Props: “Offensively, we had four girls with multiple hits - Zoey Robinson (with a big triple), Joslyn Perez (two doubles), Anna Powel, and Liv Brodzinski (double and 3 RBIs). Gia Bono also got on base four times (HR, BB, 2 HBP). We are excited to get back on the field next week for a couple more league games.”

The Panthers had an inning to remember in the top of the fourth when they hit not one but two grand slam home runs – the first by Kaylee Carr and the second by Ellie Hilton that blew the game wide open.
Kira Jefferson had three hits and three RBIs out of the leadoff spot. Kayla Scheibenhofer also had three hits, including a double. Ava Jones had a double, triple and three RBIs.

Key inning: Top of the fourth – The Panthers took a 6-1 lead into the top of the fourth when they erupted for eight runs to seize complete control of the game. With one out, Gianna Santangelo, Anna Bruno and Ava Jones drew back-to-back-to-back walks to load the bases for Kaylee Carr, who roped a grand slam home run to right field, giving the Panthers a 10-1 lead. With the bases loaded and two outs, Ellie Hilton hit the second grand slam of the inning – this one to center field that gave the Panthers a 14-1 lead.
Up next: Quakertown will travel to Central Bucks East Wednesday in a non-league SOL crossover game, and Hatboro-Horsham will travel to Bensalem for a non-league SOL crossover game Wednesday.

The Cardinals opened up 3-0 lead in the top of the third with Sofia Vitella delivering the inning’s big blow – a two-run double with two outs. They upped that lead to 5-0 before the Ghosts put a run on the board in the bottom of the fourth.
UD all but put the game out of reach with a three-run sixth inning to go on top 8-1 before the Ghosts scored a run in the bottom of the inning.
Kyla Garrison notched the complete game win, allowing just two hits and two runs – both unearned. The Cardinals pounded out 12 hits, and they were led by the two-hit efforts of Garrison, Ava Renye, Amelia Jesuit and Maddie Small.

In a key division battle, it was the Golden Bears erasing a 4-2 deficit with a five-run fifth inning on their way to the big win.
The two teams combined for 18 hits with UM accounting for 10 of those. Tara Pagano’s three-hit effort led the Golden Bears.
Delaney Stout earned the complete game win in the circle, allowing eight hits and two earned runs while striking out seven.

“We knew going into this game New Hope would be tough to beat. Playing them is always a good game. They have two strong pitchers, and they always put the ball in play.
“Our team is young this year, so getting behind in the third and being able to stay focused, make the adjustments and bounce back the way they did was great to see today from our team. I could not be prouder of them.”
--Props: “Taylor Pagano led our offense today going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and four stolen bases. Melissa Torpey, Jordyn Gibbs (1 RBI) and Delaney Stout (2 RBI) each had doubles today. Kavanaugh and Walton each picked up an RBI on singles today. It was truly a team effort.”

Golden Hawks Battle Through Extras in Myrtle Beach Debut
An Interview-Style Recap with Head Coach Scott Molle

Q: Coach, take us through your first day of spring training down in Myrtle Beach.
Molle: It was a great experience for the team. We played two games yesterday—our first action ever on this spring trip—and I thought the girls really showed up ready to compete. The first game was a scrimmage, and we played very well overall.
Q: Any standout performances in that first game?
Molle: Freshman Sage Blankenship got the start in the circle and really impressed us. She showed she’s going to be a competitor and someone we can rely on when her number is called. She also helped herself at the plate, going 2-for-2 with an RBI. That’s a great way to start your varsity career.
Sophomore Mia Musto also had a big moment—she ripped a line drive double to the fence and picked up an RBI. It was special because both Sage and Mia recorded their first varsity hits. That’s something they’ll always remember.
Q: The second game sounded like a battle. What stood out to you?
Molle: We played a really strong team from Ohio, Jackson High School, and it was a fight from start to finish. We went into extra innings and ended up winning in the 9th with the international tiebreaker. Honestly, it was our best game of the season so far. Every single player contributed in some way, and we never gave up.
Q: Natalie Neubauer went the distance—what did you see from her?
Molle: Nat was outstanding. She threw a complete game—133 pitches, with 100 for strikes. That tells you everything about her control and toughness. There were multiple at-bats where hitters battled her with long foul-ball sequences, but she stayed composed and worked through it every time. She’s a warrior in the circle and continues to grow each game. We’re really excited about her progression at the varsity level.
Q: Offensively, who helped lead the charge?
Molle: We had some great performances up and down the lineup. Paige Brady, Molly Gabriele, and Jenna Pesapane each had two hits in key moments. Paige played a tremendous all-around game—she battled at the plate and was solid defensively. She’s a hard worker and off to a great start this season.
Molly continues to be a catalyst for us. She went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Whether it’s at the plate or in center field, she just does everything we ask and sets the tone.
Jenna had a huge hit for us—she went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, and two RBIs. Her double in the 5th inning, when we were down 2-1, gave us a 3-2 lead. It was great to see her take an outside pitch and drive it down the right field line. That’s something we’ve been working on.
Q: The execution in the 9th inning was key. Can you walk us through that?
Molle: Absolutely. In ITB, Sam Graff started on second base. Mickey DeYoung came up and laid down a perfect bunt to move Sam to third—and then beat it out herself. That was huge. Then Margot McLean stepped in, worked the count to 3-1, and executed a perfect squeeze bunt. Sam got a great jump and scored the go-ahead run.
Those two at-bats really define our approach—we stress doing the little things and playing team softball. Mickey and Margot executed exactly what we needed in that moment.
Q: How about defensively?
Molle: Our defense was outstanding. We made plays all over the field and didn’t commit a single error. That’s something this team takes pride in—playing clean, disciplined defense and giving maximum effort every play.
Q: What’s the biggest takeaway from Day 1?
Molle: Just really proud of the effort and the fight. It’s early in the season, and for us to come down here, compete the way we did, and execute in big moments—it says a lot about this group. We’re continuing to grow, and this was a big step forward for us.
