District Class 2A semifinal
#2 NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 13, #3 CALVARY CHRISTIAN 0 (5 runs)

The stage has been set.
New Hope-Solebury – as a result of Tuesday’s win – will face defending champion Bristol in Thursday’s District 1 2A title game. It is a rematch of last year’s title game, which Bristol won 9-4.
In Tuesday’s semifinal contest, the Lions took a 1-0 lead in the first when Mabel Klossner and Dagny Mobley (RBI) hit back-to-back doubles. A nine-run second inning effectively put the game out of reach, and the game was halted after five innings for the mercy rule.
Klossner earned the complete game win in the abbreviated contest, allowing two hits in five shutout innings while striking out nine.

Mabel Klossner singled to plate another run, and Dagny Mobley drew a walk to once again load the bases. Riley Sim hit a sacrifice fly that plated a run, and Juliet Freer – who led off the inning - capped the frame with a two-out, three-run home run that put the Lions on top 9-0 after two innings on their way to the lopsided win.
