--Lineup was successfully anchored by the steady production of senior RF Emily Dobrowolski (.383 avg) and sophomore 3B and leadoff hitter Zoey Robinson (.333 avg). The bench energy and team chemistry has fueled the team’s success this season.

Coach Mike Perez: “We have a good combination of senior leadership with young talent. There was definitely an adjustment period early in the season, but we've hit our stride and are coming into our own. We've been working hard all season to bring out the full potential of our offensive lineup. We've utilized a full pitching staff (5 different pitchers have seen action this season) to keep our pitchers fresh and opposing lineups off-balance. After a few early season adjustments, our defense has really played well this season, limiting mistakes and extra opportunities for our opponents. We've played a tough schedule this season and been handed a few painful extra-inning losses, so we're hoping the adversity can be used as a learning opportunity and help us navigate through the playoffs."

--Players to watch: Sophomore pitcher Natalie Neubauer has been such a huge addition for this team this year - she has competed every game and has had some really big games. No hitter vs Truman and a one hitter vs #3 seed Pennsbury.
Freshman SS Ashlyn Curtier & freshman DP/C Avery Ochs have been phenomenal for us offensively. Both have had huge games, and we love what they bring to the plate. They have delivered some great moments this season.
Sophomore 1B Margot McLean and junior 2B Mickey DeYoung both lead the team in HRs and have been a steady force on the right side of the field for us this season. Both have had big at bats and know how to give us big at bats to help their team.
Sophomore third baseman Jenna Pesapane has been a steady force both in the field and as our leadoff hitter. We know what Jenna will bring every game and the intensity and desire to be her best for her teammates.
Right fielder junior Paige Brady - and junior C Sophia Salamon have had a great year, and Paige has had a career year for us and it’s been fun to watch her grow and mature thru the year. Sophia has handled our young pitcher behind the plate amazingly and continues to improve every day.
Senior center fielder Molly Gabriele has been so instrumental for us the last few years and her experience in playoffs will help mold our younger players for years to come. Molly is a steady force, and she knows what it will take to move on in this tournament.
Coach Scott Molle says: “This year’s team has continued to grow together and show resilience throughout the entire season. Our players have embraced every challenge in front of them and have worked extremely hard to put themselves in a position to compete in the district playoffs. The experience we have gained throughout the season, especially in close and competitive games, has helped prepare us for this time of year.
“What stands out most about this group is their chemistry, confidence, and willingness to play for one another. We have strong leadership from our upperclassmen and a younger group that has stepped up in big moments all season long. The girls understand that the playoffs require focus, composure, and attention to detail every single inning.
“Our approach is simple — take it one game at a time, trust our preparation, and continue playing the brand of softball that got us here. We know every team remaining is talented, so it will come down to effort, execution, and staying together through every moment. We have had some games where we really hit the ball well and scored runs like our games against Archbishop Wood, Plymouth Whitemarsh, and Mount Saint Joseph's Academy, but at other times we have really struggled to string hits together and to score runs. The great thing about the playoffs is that it gives you an opportunity to get a fresh start. Lately, Kendall Kornuszko has really thrown some good games for us. If Kendall throws well and we cut down on defensive mistakes behind her, along with hitting the ball with some consistency, I think we can be competitive in the tournament. The other plus for us is that we have a really young team, so the playoff atmosphere and the pressure that goes along with playing in these games should be a plus for our underclassmen in the future.”

The girls have been playing team-oriented softball and really do have each other’s backs, and that chemistry is important as we tackle the postseason. Every upperclassman has postseason experience, so that will bode well as we enter the first round on Monday, and the underclassmen are excited and eager to learn from their experienced teammates. We’ve played some close games down the stretch to end the regular season, and that type of environment helps build confidence and composure that will definitely be useful in the postseason.”

Coach Chris Marchok: “Our kids have worked very hard to grow individually and as a team. We have a wonderful group of 15 young women who never mention the word ‘I’. It has been all about team the entire year, led by our core group of servant leaders in Riley Sim, Rachel Sim, Mabel Klossner, and Dagny Mobley. When players of their caliber are more interested in helping others than themselves, coaching becomes very easy. Midway through the year, we sharpened our focus on defense. Everyone bought in and we finished our season going 6-1 and tying for the league championship with 5A Upper Moreland. Our only loss in those seven games was a 6-1 defeat last Thursday at the hands of 6A #1 North Penn. The kids are ready to go out and focus on simply being our best this week and see where that takes us!”
