SOL National Conference
PENNSBURY 3, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-13)
A battle of two of the best teams in the SOL was won by Pennsbury 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-13). A match containing some of the best pin hitters in the league was slugfest.
"Coach Joe is a great coach. I have conversations with him during the club and high school season as much as I can,” Pennsbury coach Bob Burns said. “I love those conversations because I just pick his brain and become a sponge. Hats off to him and his coaching staff because they are always a tough opponent."
"We knew we had our hands full on the defensive side when facing Olivia Szymkiewicz and Sloane Jordan. After they beat us in the Rally in the Valley Championship, we knew we would need all facets of the game working to beat them, and we were able to execute."
Madara Bungs and Reagan Perate combined for 25 kills. Setters Avery Stewart and Olivia Jedynak combined for 30 assists. Brooke Sweitzer and Madara Bungs combined for 24 digs. Rylie Mitchell and Madara Bungs combined for 7 aces and led the way with multiple service runs.
In the midst of this great team win was junior outside hitter Madara Bung's 500th kill. Libero Brooke Sweitzer sent a perfect pass to our setter Olivia Jedynak who dropped a perfect set right inside the antenna. At this location with a hitter like Madara, a hard-driven line shot is evitable. Madara destroyed the ball straight down at a defender who could only flinch in hopes to dig the attack. This time, like many other times, it resulted in a kill. Her 500th kill.
"When I took over the Pennsbury girls volleyball program, I was blessed to have a player like Madara try out. Every year I am so grateful for the athletes that come play for our program. A player like Madara is a great representation of the type of people we have in this gym. A fierce competitor with a great personality that wants the best for her teammates. I am proud of her. I am proud of this team. As I told Madara after our match, more importantly, they should be proud of themselves."

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, HARRY S TRUMAN 0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-11)
CR South served and executed well from every position in this evening’s match up.
The offense was spread out with eight kills from senior Olivia DeSaro who crossed the 500 career threshold earlier this week and is barreling down on 600. Senior Middle Kristina Shumakov added 5, with Senior Ella Ford and junior Soleil Kauer each adding four.
Setter Emelie Korn served up six aces and dished out 21 assists after also reaching a milestone this week of 500 career assists, and sophomore setter Mia Bacevich added 11 assists to the effort. DeSaro added three aces, and eight digs and sophomore Niamh McGinley added two aces and three digs. Chloe Brossman served up three aces and dug up five.
Up next: Council Rock South will host Unionville in a non-league match Friday, and Harry S Truman will travel to Central Bucks West on Monday.
SOL Continental Conference
SOUDERTON 3, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 0 (25-22, 25-14, 25-22)
The visiting Indians earned a sweep of the Bucks in conference play.
Ava Woodbury’s 11 kills led a balanced Indian attack while Zoe Folk’s 21 digs led the defense. Setter Caroline Bache dished out 28 assists.
For the Bucks, Kya Lynch led the way with 19 kills and 14 digs.

Ally West’s 17 kills led the Titans at the net while Olivia Hessenthaler led the defense with 24 digs in CB South’s four-set win over the Panthers.

NORTH PENN 3, PENNRIDGE 0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-13)

North Penn Knights volleyball sweep the Pennridge Rams 3-0, advancing to 13-0.
The North Penn varsity volleyball team extends the undefeated streak to a school record 13-0 after defeating the Pennridge Rams 3-0. North Penn opened the match with a 5-0 lead behind the serving of senior captain, setter, Belle Mukulski. Sophomore outside hitter Holland Van Ooyen pushed the lead to 12-3 with strong hitting from senior captain and outside hitter Madlen Potrusilova, junior setter Sofie Potrusilova, and junior middle hitter Maya Muklski, combining for five kills. The Knights overpowered the Rams extending the lead to 22-10. North Penn won set one 25-14.
Set two started off with a quick 5-1 lead with Belle Mukulski at the serving line. The Rams pressed the Knights, taking a brief lead at 8-6, but North Penn quickly tied the match at eight. After trading points, the set was tied at twelve, and North Penn pulled away from Pennridge going on a five-point run, 17-12. The Knights block slowed the Ram attack with Maya Mukulski (1), Sofie Potrusilova(2), and Siena Andolino(1) adding solo blocks. North Penn shut the door on Pennridge 25-16.
The third set started slowly for the Knights with a 5-0 Rams lead and pressed the lead to 7-2. North Penn did not panic and quickly turned on the strong serving from Sofie Potrusilova, building an 11-7 lead. Pennridge fought back to tie the set at twelve with strong defense and serving. Senior libero Kate Donaldson built the lead to 18-12 from the serving line with help from the North Penn offense. Maya Mukulski led the set with five kills and Sofie Potrusilova, Teju Arun, and Holland Van Ooyen contributed three each. The Knights finished off the Rams 25-13.
The Knights are setting a new school record with the 13-0 start, surpassing the 2008 squad. They face Central Bucks West at home next Tuesday and are one more win away from solidifying the Knights conference title.
SOL American Conference
UPPER DUBLIN 3, NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY 0
Sparked by the 17-kill effort of Brooke Kinsley at the net, the Flying Cardinals rolled to a sweep of the Lions.

ABINGTON 3, CHELTENHAM 0
Abington High School delivered a commanding performance, sweeping their opponent in straight sets with a final score of 3–0. From the opening serve to the final point, the team showcased precision, power, and poise, leaving no doubt about their dominance on the court.

- #9 Maddie Peltzer (Jr.) was unstoppable, racking up 5 aces, 11 kills, and 10 digs. Her all-around excellence set the tone early and kept the momentum rolling.
- #14 Sofia Heininger (Jr.) added firepower with 2 aces, 7 kills, and 2 digs, proving to be a reliable offensive threat.
- #13 Ava Peltzer (Sr.) contributed 5 kills, bringing senior leadership and consistency to the front row.
- #20 Morgan Kuchar (Sr.) was a wall at the net, tallying 3 kills and 5 blocks, shutting down the opposing attack.
- #21 Katie Pennekamp (Sr.) rounded out the effort with 2 kills, 2 blocks, and 3 digs, showing grit and versatility.
“Abington’s synergy and depth were on full display, with juniors and seniors stepping up in key moments,” Abington coach Marlene Jackson said. "The team’s aggressive serving and net defense kept their opponent off balance throughout the match. With standout performances across the board.”

CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 3, FAITH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY 1
The Lady Patriots finally won their first match of the season, defeating Faith Christian 3-1. Everyone played a critical role in the team win. The defensive law firm of O'Brien (25 digs), Frith (11 digs) and Muzsi (5 digs) took care of managing the back row defense. Brynne Vonder Schmalz (38 assists, 12 digs, 8 aces) distributed the ball very effectively to the front-line hitters, including Summer Darling (7 kills, 4 aces, 3 digs), Kiera Lozon (7 kills), and Abi Zmuda (4 kills, 18 digs, 2 aces). Sophie Fiander and Taliya Pettigrew (3 kills each) also made significant contributions. The star of the game was Alli Minacci, who delivered a complete game with a stat line of 13 kills (.322 hitting percentage), 7 aces and 4 blocks.

COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 3, NEW HOE-SOLEBURY 0 (29-27, 25-12, 25-13)
After battling for the win in set 1 the Golden Hawks got down to business and took sets 2 and 3 decisively.
Senior Olivia DeSaro picked up 20 digs and 16 kills and added a block. Junior Emelie Korn put up 26 assists and 3 aces. Junior Soleil Kauer added 6 kills, 12 digs and 3 aces.
CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, LANDSALE CATHOLIC 0 (28-26, 25-16, 25-20)
