COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 3, WILLIAM TENNENT 0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-18)
Council Rock North was led by seniors Olivia Szymkiewicz with 13 kills and 7 aces, while Sloane Jordan had 10 kills and 2 aces. Freshman Camryn Schmidt chipped in 2 kills with 5 blocks. Sophomores Kinley Adams had 29 assists with 2 aces, while Ellie Lapinski added 4 aces.
“In this match, Tennent did what Tennent does, they keep coming after you no matter the score forcing you to match their play and taking advantage whenever they can,” Rock North coach Joe Schweitzer said.
Up next: Council Rock North will travel to Council Rock South Thursday, and William Tennent will travel to Harry S Truman Thursday.

SOUDERTON 3, QUAKERTOWN 1 (20-25, 25-22, 25-11, 25-18)
Stella Powers had a huge night at the net, leading the Indians with 20 kills in their four-set win over the Panthers. Zoe Folk led the Indians defensively with 16 digs.

CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 2 (25-16, 21-25, 24-26, 25-18, 15-12)
Season records get thrown out the window when East plays West, and this match certainly lived up to that storied tradition. After the Bucks won the first set, the Patriots won the next two, including a grueling third set (26-24). The Bucks, however, came back to win the next two to eke out the hard-fought win.
Kya Lynch was once again all but unstoppable at the net, leading the Bucks with 26 kills and five blocks. She also led the defense with a team-high 16 digs.
Emma Shank (24 assists, 3 aces, 5 digs) and Erinn McCusker (21 assists, 1 kill, 9 digs) shared setting duties. Emily Ferrese added 15 digs, four aces and two assists. Also contributing for the Bucks were Keeley Fialkowski (7 kills, 4 aces), Katina Adelizzi (3 kills, 5 blocks), Ava Streibig (6 kills, 4 digs), Farrah Nerhbas (4 kills, 2 blocks), Ashlyn Kear (1 ace, 8 digs)
The Lady Patriots were paced on defense by Abi Zmuda, who registered 26 digs and 1 kill. The offense was co-directed by Brynne Vonder Schmalz (20 assists, 6 digs, 4 aces) and Sadie Jones (8 assists, 9 digs, 1 ace). A number of players contributed to the offense, led by Alli Minacci (11 kills, 3 blocks), Summer Darling (5 kills), Reese Coxey (4 kills, 3 blocks) and Carmyn O'Brien (3 kills, 14 digs).

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 3, PENNRIDGE 1 (21-25, 25-12, 26-24, 25-15)
After dropping the first set, the visiting Titans came roaring back to win the next three.
Olivia Hessenthaler led the defense with 23 digs. Katelyn Roth (14 kills), Allison West (12 kills) and Lane McLaughlin (10 kills) were a triple threat at the net and all finished with double-digit kills to lead the Titans’ attack.

NORTH PENN 3, ABINGTON 1 (13-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-14)
The Ghosts won the first set only to watch the Knights rally to win the next three on the way to their ninth win in as many games.
“Both teams played with energy, skill and left everything on the court,” Abington coach Marlene Jackson said. “The crowd roared with every spike, creating a thunderous backdrop to the action.”

North Penn Advances to 9-0 Against Abington After a Slow Start
The North Penn Knights continued their undefeated streak with a 3-1 win against the Abington Ghosts. The Knights started the match off slowly, with the Ghosts motivated to secure their first win.
Set one was less than memorable for the Knights. The Ghosts were locked in, controlling the tempo of the game. North Penn struggled to get out of first gear, plagued by unforced errors and a lack of intensity. The highlight of the set was senior captain outside hitter Madlen Potrusilova, who led the team with three kills and provided some momentum toward the end of the set. Abington takes set one, 25-13.
The second set was a back-and-forth affair with the Knights and Ghosts trading points. The Ghosts took a slim lead at 10-7, and North Penn stormed back to tie the set at ten. The Knights extended the lead to 15-11, and the Ghosts took a timeout. Junior middle hitter Maya Mikulski impacted the set with two kills and blocks. North Penn tied the match with a final score of 25-14.
Set three began with the Ghost taking an early 6-2 lead, but the Knights' junior captain, middle hitter, cut the lead to 6-5. The teams tied at ten each when North Penn pressed the accelerator, building a 20-16 lead. Junior setter Sofie Potrusilova and sophomore outside hitter lead the set with three kills each. North Penn closed set three 25-20.
The final set was controlled by North Penn with sisters Potrusilova, Madlen, and Sofie, scoring four kills each. The Knights won the match 25-14.
The Abington Ghosts started strong, but North Penn was too much, advancing to 9-0. The Knights struggled to get started and closed the match with smart play, timely hitting, and solid defense.
GERMANTOWN ACADEMY 3, CENTRAL BUCKS EAST 0
The Patriots fell to a strong Patriot squad in a non-league match.
