COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 4, WISSAHICKON 3
The Golden Hawks won a thriller, breaking a 3-3 tie with three minutes remaining in regulation on a goal by Camryn Brundage.
“They won the draw after the goal, but our defense was able to stop them and cause a turnover,” 
Rock South coach Marina Schreiner said. “Then it was clock management for the last two minutes of the game.”
In a contest that featured a whole lot more defense than offense, Rock South goalie Gabby Terekhov recorded nine saves in a winning effort.

--The game: “Today's game was a close contest that ultimately came down to too many forced 
turnovers. Offensively, we struggled to establish momentum, which contributed to the low-scoring outcome.”
--Props: “Defensively, there were several strong performances. Regan McCabe and Siena Bruno were both steady and reliable in the defensive end, each recording 2 ground balls. Kaylee Hammond also played a key role defensively, finishing with 2 caused turnovers, 2 ground balls, 1 interception, and 2 draw controls.
“Senior captain and goalie Ava Fell had an outstanding performance in net, recording 5 saves on 9 opposing shots on goal for a .56 save percentage. Ava consistently steps up in high-pressure situations and provides a calming presence for our defense.”
Up next: Council Rock South will host Neshaminy on Thursday, and Wissahickon will travel to Cheltenham Thursday.

Pennsbury 15, The Hun School 12

On Tuesday, we celebrated our seven amazing seniors at Falcon Field and came away with a big win against The Hun School.
Senior Abby McCole scored a season high five goals, senior Sasha Dobos scored four goals, and senior Annie Cimochowski scored two goals and also had one assist and five draw controls.
Our two senior defenders, Abby Hicks and Molly Snyder, led the defensive unit as they caused 10 turnovers on the night. Senior goalie Abby Smoyer made 11 saves in the victory. A
Also, Abby Iacona scored two goals, and Ryan Burdette and Amelia Grabski each scored one goal. Iacona and Burdette each had seven draw controls and continued to be a strong force on the circle with Cimochowski. As a team, Pennsbury scooped up a team best 42 ground balls.
