The season came to an end for the Bucks in Thursday’s playback round, but there were few regrets when it was over.
“Super proud of the girls for their hard work and dedication this year,” CB West coach Elena Romesburg said. “It’s the first time in a while that we won the league and made it this far into playoffs.”
Sophomore Ainsley Shissler reached a personal milestone, scoring her 100th career goal. She finished with three goals and one assist to go along with four draw controls and one ground ball. Olivia Barrett also had a big game, finishing with six draw controls, five ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Senior Kendra Pitts also reached an individual milestone, notching her 100th career save.

--Shissler reaches milestone: “Ainsley Shissler hit her 100th career goal in the last game of her sophomore year and added in an assist, four draws and a ground ball. We had to switch up our defense this week due to Marleigh Mallon being out, so she stepped up nicely in a midfielder role against some tough opponents.
--Props: “Addy Stromberg had a great game defensively, picking up two ground balls and causing two turnovers and scoring a goal. Credit to her who had to play crease defense in the zone this week to adjust to Marleigh being out and she played great.
“Olivia Barrett and Zola Morelli were all over the field. Olivia collected six draws, five groundballs and four caused turnovers and Zola had two groundballs and three caused turnovers and was a force in transition and marking up Shanahan’s top players.
“Seniors Raylin Tulio, Katie Casale and Chloe Schrandt all had one goal and an assist and closed out amazing four-year careers. All three of them are four-year letter winners.
“Senior Kendra Pitts also hit her 100th career save. She played behind Kalena Mandeville (Syracuse) for three years and stepped up and led a young defensive unit. She is going to do great things at Vassar field hockey.”
Central Bucks West closed out its successful season with the SOL National Conference title (10-0 SOL) and an overall record of 15-6.
