There are no cupcakes to be served up on the menu the first 2 weeks of the season for 7 Suburban One League teams.
Central Bucks West, Plymouth Whitemarsh, Pennridge, Neshaminy, North Penn, CB South & CB East all have rigorous non-league schedules the opening 2 weeks of the season that feature strong teams that manufactured district playoff slots from a year ago.
Central Bucks West will have faced a challenging schedule the first 2 weeks of the season that included the 2025 District-11 champion (6A) Easton Red Rovers & the District-3 playoff No. 4 seed (6A) Wilson (West Lawn) Bulldogs.
The Bucks turned a lot of heads in the area and dominated Easton Week One – 36-7. CB West will now host a Wilson team @ War Memorial Field that defeated Governor Mifflin 48-7 last week.
Plymouth Whitemarsh will have also faced a demanding schedule the first 2 weeks of the season that will have included the 2025 District-1 playoff No. 4 seed (6A) Coatesville Red Raiders & District-1 playoff No. 6 (5A) seed Kennett Blue Demons.
The Colonials turned a lot of heads with a thrilling 21-20 victory over the traditionally powerful Ches-Mont Coatesville. PW will now go on the road to Chester County to play a Kennett team that shut out Abington, 28-0.
Pennridge also scheduled a difficult non-league schedule the first 2 weeks as the Green & White will have hosted District-11 playoff No. 4 seed (6A) Bethlehem Liberty Hurricanes and District-1 playoff No. 7 seed (6A) Souderton Indians.
The Rams turned a lot of heads with a surprisingly effortless 35-0 victory over Liberty in Week One. Pennridge will host neighborhood rival Indians Thursday night @ Helman Field in Week 2.
Neshaminy had a tough non-league schedule the first 2 weeks of the season as the Redskins hosted District-11 playoff No. 8 seed (6A) Emmaus in the opening week and will be on the road this week against District-3 playoff No. 3 seed Manheim Township.
Neshaminy captured a hard fought 20-13 victory over the Hornets in Week One. The Blue Streaks were able to defeat Cumberland Valley in Week One, 20-14.
North Penn also faced a challenging non-league schedule the first 2 weeks of the season. The Knights opened the season on the road against District-3 playoff No. 10-seed (5A) Lower Dauphin and will now host potent District-3 playoff No. 1 seed (6A) Central York this week.
North Penn opened the season with a 41-7 rout of the Falcons and will now face a Panther team that edged highly regarded State College, 35-28.
Central Bucks South launched its season with a grueling schedule the first 2 weeks of the season. The Titans crossed that dangerous line between private school & public-school programs and battled District-12 contender Archbishop Wood. Week 2 has CB South hosting District-1 playoff No. 3 seed (6A) Downingtown West.
CB South was competitive against Wood but could not seal the deal in a 35-17 loss. The Titans will now face a Downingtown West team that was surprisingly embarrassed by Bethlehem Freedom, 50-21.
Central Bucks East also challenged its football program the first 2 weeks of the season. The Patriots opened the season and went on the road to play District-1 playoff No. 10 seed (6A) Ridley. Week 2 has CB East hosting District-11 playoff No. 4 seed (6A) Bethlehem Liberty.
The Patriots were competitive against the Green Raiders but could not seal the deal in a 28-7 loss. Week 2 features CB East against a Bethlehem Liberty team that suffered a 35-0 loss to Pennridge.

Wilson took a 35-0 lead @ halftime as the Bulldogs routed Governor Mifflin, 48-7. The mercy-rule game was halted with 3 minutes left in the game due to a ‘police action’ near the stadium.
Central Bucks West was extremely impressive in a 36-7 victory over visiting Easton. Quarterback Josh George fired 3 touchdown passes – 2 to Liam Laphen (10 & 34 yards) – and 1 to Louie Cipollo. Nick Miletto scored on a 13-yard run & Brayden Cape scored on a 2-yard run. George completed just 3 passes on 5 attempts with all 3 completions resulting in touchdowns.

**Souderton Indians (0-1) @ Pennridge Rams (1-0)**

Souderton led 7-0 early on a double reverse pass from Brett Pollock to Alex Whitcomb that covered 65 yards. Pollock also scored on a 3-yard run and the Indians were tied 14-14 at the close of the half. Souderton, however, was outscored 17-0 in the second half and lost its season opener, 31-14, to host Spring-Ford.
Pennridge was tremendously impressive in its season opener as the Rams gouged visiting Bethlehem Liberty, 35-0. Quarterback Aiden Tetowski in his first varsity start completed 6 passes for 200 yards and 3
touchdowns. Nate Derstine caught TD passes of 60 & 33 yards, while Sean Leuthe caught a 62-yard scoring strike. Tetowski also scored on a rushing touchdown, while Matt Schaefer closed the scoring on a 7-yard run.

Pennridge Rams 28 – Souderton Indians 10

Central York opened its season with a 35-28 loss to State College. The Panthers are coming off an impressive 2025 season. Central York was 11-2 overall and played in the PIAA District 3 championship game last year, losing to Harrisburg.
North Penn stumbled out of the game in its season opener and trailed Lower Dauphin 7-6 at halftime. However, the Knights dominated the second half and marched to a 41-7 win. Ziyon Smith was the touchdown maker for North Penn. Smith scored on an 85-yard kickoff return, scored on a 65-yard interception return, and scored on runs of 25 & 2 yards. Rylei Gray and Jayden Jenkins also found paydirt for the Knights.

Neshaminy captured a season opening 20-13 victory over District 11 opponent Emmaus. The Redskins led 7-0 at halftime on a touchdown run by Brock Williams. Tom Schoepfer returned the second half kickoff 92 yards for the second Neshaminy score, and Williams scored the final touchdown on a 56-yard dash. Kevin Mullens sealed the deal for the Skins with an interception late in the game.
Manheim Township captured a season opening 20-14 victory over Cumberland Valley. The Blue Streaks put the game in the win column as Chase Fletcher scored on a 95-yard kickoff return in the final minute. Manheim Township finished the 2025 season with a 10-2 record.

Pennsbury captured a season opening 14-0 victory over Trenton Central (NJ). The win matches the total number of Falcon wins in the 2025 season (1-9) and was the first win at Pennsbury for ‘new’ head coach John Greiner. Justin LaRue scored on a 64-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, while Jack Arndt closed out the scoring on a one-yard run.
Easton suffered a stunning 36-7 loss to Central Bucks West in the season opener for both teams. The defending D-11 champions trailed 22-7 at halftime and were never really ‘in the game’ against the Bucks.

Downingtown West opened the 2026 season with an astonishing 51-20 loss to District 11 power Bethlehem Freedom. The Whippets – a perennial District 1 contender – trailed the Patriots 30-14 at the close of the first half and was outscored 21-6 in the second half.
Central Bucks South opened the 2026 season with a 35-17 loss to District 12 challenger Archbishop Wood. The Titans were ‘in’ the game for 3 quarters as Wood held a 21-17 lead. However, the Vikings sailed away in the 4th quarter, outscoring CB South 14-0. Jake Blum scored on a 96-yard kickoff return – Oliver Woodcock kicked a 42-yard field goal – and Sean Bilicki scored on a 1-yard run to account for the Titan scoring.

**Bethlehem Liberty (0-1) @ Central Bucks East (0-1)**

Bethlehem Liberty was a playoff team last year in District 11 and opened its season on the road and suffered a 35-0 loss to Pennridge. The Hurricanes allowed over 400 yards of total offense to the Rams defensively and were shut out offensively.
Central Bucks East opened its 2026 season with a 28-7 loss to Ridley of the Central League. The score was closer than the final score would indicate as the Patriots trailed the winners by a 14-0 score after 3 quarters. Chase Ingram scored the lone CB East touchdown on a 2-yard run, while Cole Wojnicki added the extra points.

Abington opened the 2026 season with a 28-0 loss to Kennett. The Ghosts have now lost 9 straight games with the last win coming back on August 29, 2025, in a 42-7 win over Harry S Truman.

Council Rock South opened its 2026 season with a 42-0 victory over Hatboro Horsham. Quarterback Cannon Benzio fired touchdown passes to Logan Smith (25 yards) & Brody Walker (50 yards). Rocco Szydik scored on a 60-yard run, Chris Guinter scored on a 2-yard run, and Joey Flaville scored on a 10-yard run for the Golden Hawks. Ryan Lewis blocked a punt and recovered the ball in the endzone for a touchdown.

Plymouth Whitemarsh opened the 2026 season with a thrilling 21-20 victory over Coatesville. Quarterback Cole Reilly fired a 45-yard touchdown pass to Aiden Orensky with less than a minute remaining in the game – and Max Peterson’s extra point provided the margin of victory. Reilly also threw a scoring pass TD of 14 yards to Chase Tadeo, while Mike Giangiulo rounded out the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run.
Kennett opened its 2026 season with a resounding 28-0 victory over Abington. The Blue Demons are coming off a 9-3 season in 2025 that saw them make the 5A PIAA District One playoffs.

Upper Moreland opened its 2026 season with a convincing 36-6 victory over Philadelphia Public League opponent, Frankford. Senior quarterback David Adamski tossed 3 touchdown passes -one to Kyle Moore (20 yards) – one to Donnie Dinkins (17 yards) – and one to Brody Hughes (44-yards). Santino Rodiguez scored on a 6-yard run, while Moore scored on a 5-yard run.
Bensalem opened its 2026 season with a disappointing 54-7 loss to Upper Darby. It was the head coaching debut of Mitch Cohen for the Owls. Last season Bensalem defeated the Royals, 19-7.

Harry S Truman opened the 2026 season with a 42-13 loss to Haverford. The Tigers lost to Haverford by a 41-7 score last season – some improvement? Truman has moved ‘down’ from the SOL Continental Conference to the SOL American Conference this season.

Upper Dublin opened the 2026 season with a 35-7 loss to neighborhood rival Wissahickon. The Flying Cardinals fell behind early as Wiss took a 7-0 lead. Upper Dublin knotted the score at 7-7 when Lawson Tyler fired a touchdown pass to Anthony Paone. However, the Trojans outscored the Cardinals 28-0 the remainder of the game to secure the victory.
Penn Manor opened the 2026 season with a 33-14 victory over Red Lion. The Comets finished last season with a 3-7 record.

Owen J Roberts opened the 2026 season with a 35-26 victory over West Philadelphia. OJR held a 22-18 lead at halftime over the Speedboys from Philadelphia. The Wildcats are members of the Pioneer Athletic Conference Liberty Division.
