Quakertown defeated CB West in SOL flag football Wednesday. With the playoffs on the horizon and the hope to give those games some coverage, below is a sample of the information that would be included in wraps of those games. QUAKERTOWN 41, CENTRAL BUCKS WEST 12
The Panthers upped their SOL record to 5-6 with a no-doubt-about-it win over the Bucks in a game that honored Nicholas Stickel, who is battling brain cancer.
Highlights, according to coach Winfield Huber, included the following:
--Savannah James – 2 touchdown receptions
--Dolly Barratt – 2 touchdown receptions and made several big defensive plays
--Quarterback Hailey Andrews - 5 touchdown passes and zero turnovers in one half of action
--Shelby Rohm – 1 touchdown reception and a lot of flag pulls
--Alexa Seneca – Many flag pulls and several pass breakups.
--Talyn Nielson – The team’s blitzer had a sack and some nice pressure on the quarterback
SOUDERTON 33, CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH 30
The Indians edged the Titans in tightly contested conference battle.
Highlights included:
--Ailaina Picard led the offense with two touchdowns.
--Kensley Muller, Avery Leatherman, and Mahi Patel each had one touchdown.
--Amaya Sanchez led the defense with 7 tackles.
--Kensley Muller and Sophia Gooch each had 4 tackles.
--Quarterback Liz Word threw for over 250 yards.
