Upper Dublin 2, Springfield Twp 0
Better late than never.
It took until midway through the fourth quarter to break the scoreless tie, but Upper Dublin will certainly take the result. Held scoreless for more than three quarters, the Flying Cardinals found the back of the cage twice in the final nine minutes of regulation to pull out a 2-0 victory over Springfield Twp in Thursday’s SOL Crossover matchup.
Mia Guargliardo put the Cardinals on the scoreboard with 8:31 left in the game, and Claire Wilson added an insurance marker just over 2 minutes later to secure the win for the Cardinals, who had a 7-1 advantage over the Spartans on offensive corners. Springfield got three shots on goal and recorded seven goalkeeper saves,

Upper Dublin coach Erica Kelly: “Today was a total team win all around the field. Springfield was very disciplined on defense all around the field and played a strong game. We possessed the ball and had a lot of opportunities that we did not capitalize on, but in the fourth quarter the girls really came out with a goal-scoring mindset to find the back of the net twice
—Props: “Props to our goal scorers Mia Guagliardo and Abby Rucker. Morgan O'Shea played a great game on the defensive end by initiating game-changing passing patterns. Our midfielders really stood out today by stepping to every ball and consistently keeping possession of the ball.”
Springfield Twp coach Brianna Buckley: “We battled through a competitive matchup against Upper Dublin. We held strong through the first three quarters, keeping Upper Dublin off the board with a solid defensive effort and consistent pressure across the field. Upper Dublin finally broke through with two goals in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Despite the late scoring, Springfield continued to battle through the final whistle in a hard-fought contest.”

Freedom Division
Upper Moreland 4, William Tennent 1

Upper Moreland came ready to play today and was steady throughout the game, scoring a goal in each quarter.
Gianna Jones continued her strong play with two goals. Jones has been playing midfield, but also goes back into her original forward position at times. Her efforts were rewarded by getting a goal from both positions. MJ Reilly had one of her strongest performances of the season, controlling the wing, scoring two goals, and forcing corners. Reilly scored off a corner in the fourth quarter, where she ripped a shot from the left to hit the back of the boards.
The Bears had a letdown in the third quarter when Tennent scored its goal on a corner. This has not happened very much to the Bears this season. We spend a lot of time in practice working on offensive and defensive corners. We have scored many times on corners this year and have not let many in, but today Tennent took advantage.
Midfielders Gianna Morrison, Kourtney Malone, Olivia Torres, and Harper Richmond controlled the field and really set up the team up for the win. Tennent did not have many opportunities because of the Bears’ strong midfield play.
Bridget Hess and Reese Purcell played well on defense. Izzy Fisher recorded 2 saves in the win.
Demito scored Tennent’s lone goal with 5 minutes left in the third quarter. Roth recorded 14 saves in the cage for the Panthers.

Downingtown West 4, Pennridge 0
Pennridge goalkeeper Ella Ricci made an impressive 24 saves, but Pennridge could not match the scoring capabilities of Downingtown West, which topped the Rams 4-0 in Thursday’s nonleague matchup.

Pennridge coach Chris Chookagian: "Shout out to our defensive unit today for holding it down against a strong Downingtown West attack. With an injury early in the game, we had to shift some players around and everyone stepped up where they were needed. It wasn't our best game offensively, but we're playing solid defense in the back. Back-to-back road games are tough, but we are excited open up our home slate next week"

Lex Yanchunas scored off an assist from Ava Siegfried midway through the third quarter and it would hold as the only marker of the game as Souderton pulled out a 1-0 victory over Archbishop Carroll in Thursday’s nonleague matchup.

Souderton coach Sue Casciato: “We struggled to finish today, although some credit certainly has to go to Carroll's goalie. Since we've unfortunately been plagued with numerous injuries early in the season, we've had to repeatedly shuffle the lineup. The lack of consistency is making it difficult for us to establish any rhythm as a team.”

Neshaminy 7, Lansdale Catholic, 1
Neshaminy scored three goals in the first quarter and rolled to a 7-1 victory over Lansdale Catholic in Thursday’s nonleague matchup.
Mia Brooks and Maci Fox each scored two goals and added one assist for Neshaminy. Ariana Lenihan scored two goals in the first quarter, while Taylor Tenaglia recorded assists on the team’s first two goals of the game.
