COUNCIL ROCK SOUTH 2, COUNCIL ROCK NORTH 2
Twice the Golden Hawks found themselves trailing by a goal, and twice they rallied to knot the score, forcing the Indians to settle for a 2-2 tie in a battle of the neighboring rivals.
Chase Murphy’s goal in the 73rd minute (assisted by Matt Brozyna) gave the Indians a 2-1 lead. With three minutes remaining in the game Bryan Hyams found the back of the net with the equalizer, using a Fabio Nillo assist.
It was a rerun of a first half that saw the Indians go on top 1-0 six minutes in with a goal from Jason Foulke only to see Chase Wade even the score 1-1 by halftime.

--The game: “It was a Battle of a North/South match tonight. Always is. It 
was an exciting game. It was very back and forth. North looked very good in moments, and then there were times I felt we looked dangerous.
“We went down 1-0 pretty early in the first half, scored to even it on a really nice play. Stephen Murray won the ball in the midfield and played Brian Hyams into the corner who served a great ball for Carson Wade’s finish.
“We went down 2-1 with under 10 to go, scoring to tie it once again with three left on a set piece from AJ Renshall, flicked on by Fabio Nillo to Brian Hyams who had a great finish at the back post. Coach Nicholl and I are very proud of their determination to keep battling.
“It’s a classic early season North/South match. These kids have been playing against each other since they were little. It was a really good game. I give credit to the team. Climbing back into a rivalry match not once, but twice, paints a picture of their toughness.”
Up next: Council Rock South will be on the road at Archbishop Wood for a non-league game Thursday (4pm). Council Rock North will host St. Joe’s Prep in a non-league contest Thursday (3pm).

A wild second half saw both teams score three times, and the match ended in a draw. CB South battled back from a 3-1 deficit with less than 7 minutes remaining on a pair of goals by Tyler Jaskelewicz.

CENTRAL BUCKS SOUTH COACH ED BRNARDIC:
“We knew the quality that Downingtown West has on their roster this year. And we looked a little flat after a very long and hot bus ride. But down 3-1 with 6:30 left on the clock, the boys
stayed patient and continued to believe. Tyler Jaskelewicz stepped up and hit a beautiful free kick to bring us within one, and just one minute later Tyler was able to pounce on a loose ball in the box and put the tying goal past the Downingtown West goalkeeper.
--PROPS: “Evan Nguyen: We tasked Evan with trying to shut down Alex Shearer of Downingtown West, the most dangerous attacker we had seen all season. Evan put in an excellent performance and with the exception of a mis-communication in the back where Alex punished us, Evan was able to prevent him from doing any further damage.
“Collin Howley: One of our many sophomores who have stepped up this season, Collin has been getting better and better with experience, and today we congratulate him on his first varsity goal.
“Tyler Jaskelewicz: For the second straight game our Man of the Match is Tyler. TJ can play any position, and he will do whatever is necessary to help the team win. All game long he was chasing down Downingtown's dangerous attackers, but at the end when we needed some goals, we put him up top and he delivered. Twice.”

RADNOR 4, NESHAMINY 1
The Redskins battled the visiting Raptors to a 1-1 halftime tie, but the second half belonged to Radnor in Tuesday’s non-league action.

--The game: “We started off great. First twenty minutes, we got a goal. David Lopez was getting up the right side pretty frequently and having some success. He got to the end line about six, seven minutes into the game. Played a nice ball across on the floor, and Christos Vasilarakis was there tap it in. Truthfully, we could have been up two or three nothing in that first twenty. It was hot, and we started cramping late in the half. Radnor got a corner kick goal where we kind of gave him a free header. Our goalie came out and just got a finger on it, and they headed it into an open net. So that kind of gave them a little bit of momentum in the second half.
“And then we were just totally outplayed in the second half. And they got a goal maybe ten minutes into the half. A defender got caught out of position, slid in the box. The guy pulled it back, passed to his teammate. He tucked it in for a nice goal, making it 2-1. And then maybe with about twelve minutes left - it was questionable whether it was offsides or not, but the kid did a nice job and he finished it, making 3-1. And by that time, we had pushed forward, and even our goalie was pushing forward. They kind of chipped one in from about forty into an open net. So, a great first twenty minutes, disappointing last forty.
“So, we have to kind of lick our wounds and focus on Pennsbury tomorrow. Hopefully, we have short memories.”
--Props: “Monty Jawawdeh played really well until he got hit with cramps. And I thought Brody Collins played well, getting us into good positions. David Lopez played really well in the first half too.”
Up next: Neshaminy will travel to Pennsbury Wednesday.
