Pennridge 14, Central Bucks West 11
The second quarter proved to be key as Pennridge topped Central Bucks West 14-11 in a National Conference showdown on Friday.
Tied 3-3 after one quarter, the Rams outscored the Bucks 5-2 in the second frame to build a lead and force the Bucks to battle from behind.
Matteo Fanelli led the Rams with five goals, while Reid Moyer scored four and assisted on another.
Colton Albrecht led West with four goals and one assist.

Souderton 9, Garnet Valley 8
The Indians won a classic non-league battle against the Jaguars.
The two teams were deadlocked 2-2 after one quarter, but the Indians owned the second quarter, outscoring their hosts 4-1 to head into halftime with a 6-3 lead.
It was still a three-goal game heading into the final quarter (8-5), and although the Jaguars staged a valiant comeback and knotted the score 8-8, the Indians refused to lose. It was Chris Touhey scoring the game-winning goal with 37 seconds remaining in regulation.
Brody Anderson’s five-goal effort led the Indians’ attack. Liam Murray and Logan Blair were catalysts on defense, combining for 12 ground balls and five caused turnovers. Andrew Rivera recorded seven saves in goal for the Indians in a winning effort.

“We came into this one knowing we were up against one of the top teams in the district, and we understood it would take our best effort from start to finish. What I’m most proud of is how many guys stepped up, embraced their roles, and trusted each other to do their jobs. When we are competing at our best, we put ourselves in position to compete with anyone.
“Logan Blair set the tone at the faceoff X, battling to make every draw a true 50–50 and giving us chances to build momentum. Offensively, we stayed disciplined and efficient with the ball. Defensively, our group communicated, played tough, and supported each other throughout the game. When we commit to doing the little things, trust our preparation, and play as one unit, we show what we’re capable of.”

Plymouth Whitemarsh 14, Coatesville 11
Mason Best made 12 saves and Zach Strohl nabbed 11 ground balls as part of a strong defensive effort by Plymouth Whitemarsh in its win over Coatesville in Friday’s nonleague game.
Dylan Ippolito led the Colonials’ offense with five goals and two assists.

Sun Valley 7, Upper Moreland 6
Upper Moreland battled until the final seconds – quite literally – but could not complete the rally as the Golden Bears fell 7-6 to Sun Valley in Friday’s nonleague game.
The Bears jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one quarter, but were outscored 5-1 over the middle two quarters. Down as much as three goals in the fourth, the Bears battled back and got off a potential game-tying shot at the buzzer but were stonewalled by the Sun Valley goalkeeper to deny the Bears.
David Adamski led Upper Moreland with three goals.

Upper Moreland coach Matthew Beck: “We didn’t win today but we played physical, and never gave up. Down three in the fourth, we could have easily folded. But our guys refused to do that and we cut it to one with just under a minute to go thanks to Travis Quirk.
“We got one final shot off at the buzzer. But credit to the Sun Valley goalie for making the final save.”
—Props: “David Adamski not only had a hat trick but continues to direct our offense and coach up the younger guys. Sean Durso had a great one-handed catch on a clear and made the smart pass for an assist on one of Adamski’s three goals at a crucial point in the game. Jack Sorrentino continues to improve his faceoff play and had a goal and an assist today. Jake Drinkwater is a talented player and had two big goals today.”
—Defense rising: “Defensively, we played hard. Lukas Rhode, Colin Davidson, Alex Rettew, Thomas Rose, Pat Collins, Ethan Starr, Noah Fuchs, Liam Teefy and Desmond Murphy all played a great game today. They’ve improved each game as a unit and it’s been very fun to watch.”
—Looking ahead: “We have one final home game for our Senior Night. The goal is to get these seniors one final win at home.”

Evan Federsal and Braedan Surina posted identical two-goal, two-assist nights as Central Bucks South topped nonleague opponent Harriton on Friday.
Zach Doer registered a hat trick for the Titans, while Brady Kelly made 15 saves to earn the win in the cage.
