Pennsbury 9, Central Bucks South 8 (2OT)
John Curtis came up with what might be his biggest goal of the season late in Thursday’s game.
Then he scored an even bigger one.
Curtis scored the game-tying goal to force overtime, then netted the game-winner in the second overtime frame to lift the Falcons to a thrilling 9-8 come-from-behind Senior Night victory over Central Bucks South in a National Conference matchup.
Combined with two assists on earlier goals, Curtis lifted his career point total to 212, the most in Pennsbury boys’ lacrosse history.
Trent Becker scored four goals for the Falcons (ranked 23rd in the latest District 1 3A standings), while Colin Rakowski made 11 saves to earn the win.
Braedan Surina led the 27th-ranked Titans with three goals, while Josh Dozier scooped up eight ground balls. Brayden Shahan made 19 saves for the Titans.

Pennsbury coach Dean Curtis, on the game-winning goal: “Both teams had chances in the first OT, which was won by the defenses. In the second OT, South won the faceoff. Jackson Thau then caused a turnover for the Falcons, who called a timeout. The Falcons were able to get three shots off, but could not get it past Brayden Shahan, who was great between the pipes all night. After a battle for the loose ball, Tucker Monzo checked the defensive player's stick to get the ball back after it went out of bounds. John Curtis took possession and dodged to the goal off a pick from Gavin Lucisano to get the game-winner.
"Our team came out and battled again tonight. Full team effort from all our guys. Super-happy for our seniors to get the win on Senior Night."
Up next: The Titans will host Harriton at 7 pm today. The Falcons will visit Souderton at 6:30 pm Monday.

Council Rock North 16, North Penn 6
Liam Dudley scored the 100th and 101st goals of his high school career to help power Council Rock North to a 16-6 victory over North Penn in Thursday’s National Conference matchup.
Calvin Sadovy chipped in with four goals and also had three ground balls for North, ranked eighth in the District 1 3A standings.

“This was a special night for Liam for getting his 100th and 101st goal at North.”

Council Rock South 16, Neshaminy 9
Giving the Neshaminy Senior Night crowd plenty of excitement, Neshaminy and Council Rock South combined for 17 first-half goals in a fast-paced showdown.
The Golden Hawks – sixth-ranked in the District 1 3A standings – took a 10-7 lead into halftime over Neshaminy, then added to the lead to pull out a 16-9 victory in Thursday’s National Conference game.
Conor McCaffery set the tone early, erupting for four first-quarter goals. He finished as the game’s top performer with an impressive eight goals and two assists. Brendan Malone added three second-half goals to help South pull away and secure the victory, while senior Brian Cowden contributed two goals.
The Golden Hawks’ defense tightened up after halftime, limiting Neshaminy’s opportunities. Brody Walker continued his strong play on the wing, recording seven ground balls and four caused turnovers. Freshman Jasen Van Sant made a big defensive impact with four second-half caused turnovers. Additional defensive contributions came from Gavin Lacey (2CTO), Andrew Mannherz (2CTO), Tavi Slutsky (1CTO), Ben McNulty (1CTO), and Gavin Gugger (1CTO).
At the faceoff X, Jake Baniewicz delivered a key performance, winning 11 of 20 draws and adding an assist.

Abington 13, Hatboro-Horsham 7
Abington jumped out to an early lead, then put the game away late in a 13-7 win over Hatboro-Horsham in Thursday’s American Conference matchup.
Midfielder Matty Giannattasio led the Ghosts – ranked 18th in the latest District 1 3A standings – with two goals and three assists, while Conner Sullivan and Conor Chapin posted identical three-goal, one-assist games.

Abington coach Michael Duffy: “Our defense played great as a unit once again with great play from everyone. Sam Elner played great in goal with multiple clutch saves and even an assist. Our offense controlled the ball well, stayed patient, and picked their chances wisely.”

Upper Dublin 16, New Hope-Solebury 3
Chase Foster scored four goals and added two assists as Upper Dublin rolled to a 16-3 victory over New Hope-Solebury in Thursday’s American Conference matchup.
The Cardinals remain undefeated in conference play and sit third in the latest District 1 2A rankings. NH-S stands 10th in the 2A rankings.

Wissahickon 18, Cheltenham 3

It is the 11-3 Wissahickon Trojans closing out their final game with Cheltenham Panthers as the Suburban Conference plans to restructure the leagues. It was a day to recognize the seniors playing their last games for their high school career.
With 2025 Suburban One American Conference Honorable Mention goalie Johnny Raisch on the bench with a shoulder injury, it was the Panthers’ Fransley Cantave who stole the show today. With only four games of lacrosse under his belt, the brick wall went and made 14 saves against a very strong Wissahickon offense. 
Going into the second quarter, five Trojans - sophomore Kyle Intal, junior Chase Comer, sophomore Tyler Moore, junior Austin Myers and senior Link Matozzo - accounted for nine goals.
After a goal by Trojan sophomore David Peliggi, it was midfielder Michael Korsah (1G, 1A, 5GB) that split four defenders and put the goal in the net for the first Panther goal, making the score 10-1 Trojans.
The defenders of freshman Brayden Dehner, Hugh Sterndale, Nic Etzler, sophomores Ben Hinchcliffe, Evan Donnelly and juniors Johnny Jeon and Henry Ngata managed to keep the Panthers limited to 11 shots with three goals. After the Trojans and Panthers traded goals, the Trojans continued to extend their lead with a gritty play by junior Anthony Martin, who emerged from a five-man scrum in front of the net to scoop a ground ball and fire a clinical "quick stick" shot for a score. The next goal was by senior, Link Matozzo, who tallied for his first hat trick. Minutes later, Cash Whitehead picked up a ground ball where he dodged it from X and then proceeded with an inside roll for a Trojan score. Wanting to be part of the action, sophomore Andrew Ensminger executed a dodge down the alley, spotting sophomore Isaac Lo mirroring his movement. Ensminger delivered a precise pass, allowing Lo to finish with a quick-hit goal.
To open the third quarter, Casey Cloud—who won five face-offs on the day—secured a crucial possession for the Trojans. Wissahickon showcased their ball movement, swinging the rock around the perimeter to find Paul Pileggi at the top of the box, who unleashed a powerful blast into the back of the net.
Cheltenham showed flashes of brilliance in the third quarter. Following a save by Cantave, the keeper launched a 40-yard "dime" downfield to Nick Wells (6 GBs, 4 CT). Wells ignited a fast break, finding a cutting Tariq Green (2G) for the assist.

“The day was centered on our departing seniors who have left an indelible mark on the program. Wissahickon honored a decorated class of Cole Lilienfeld, A four-year varsity close defender heading to Moravian University. Paulie Brogan, a multi-year varsity contributor in the midfield. Henry Kang, a defensive middie and team captain who will continue his career playing for the South Korean National Team, Joey Gambino: a versatile defensive specialist who served the team as a goalie and defender despite an early season injury. Trent Thiele, FOGO who will continue his playing career at Marywood University. Trent was not just a contributor on the field, but a huge supporter on the sideline. Link Matozzo was an adaptable athlete who transitioned from the face-off circle to a premier scoring threat at attack. Wissahickon coaching staff extend our very best wishes to the seniors of both Cheltenham and the Trojans as they move on to the next chapter of their careers.”

The Central Bucks West Bucks (7-5) traveled to Ambler to take on the Wissahickon Trojans (11-3) in a high-stakes matchup.
--First Quarter: Buicks drew first blood.
The scoring opened in the first quarter when Bucks’ sophomore Owen Becker found junior Mike Rafalowski. Rafalowski, a prolific 20-goal scorer, returned the favor by finding an open Becker at the point, who blasted a shot past Trojan goalie Liam Ruhren.
The Trojans answered immediately. with Gavin Hinchcliffe initiated an alley dodge and fired a low pass to attackman Chase Comer. Comer made a spectacular catch on his knees and, while still down, fed a wide-open Davide Peliggi cutting to the crease. Peliggi buried it to tie the game.
The Bucks responded quickly as senior Brad Mulreaney used a pick from Becker at X to gain space. Mulreaney dodged through the defense and finished from the top of the crease.
--Second & Third Quarters: Trojan Dominance
The middle frames belonged entirely to the Trojans, who went on a commanding seven-goal unanswered run. The surge began when sophomore Kyle Intal utilized a pick by senior Paulie Brogan, raced down the hash marks and ripped a shot for a goal.
Moments later, Hinchcliffe was back at it, executing another alley dodge and passing to Comer. Comer battled through three Bucks defenders to find the back of the net. The Trojan "ride" then paid dividends; Kyle Moore and Intal smothered the clearing attempt, allowing Intal to scoop a ground ball and take it coast-to-coast for a fast-break goal.
The scoring continued as Austin Myers dodged past two long poles and a short-stick midfielder to beat the Bucks' goalie, Ben Hutchinson, on the doorstep. To close out the first half, Nolan Reilly won a faceoff clean, faked a pass to the attack, and took it himself down the alley for a goal.
The second and third quarters were defined by the dominance of the Trojan defense and disciplined time of possession by the offense.
--Second Half: Closing it Out
In the third quarter, Intal completed his hat trick by dodging through the box for his third goal of the day. It was a standout performance for the second-line midfielders; Reilly dodged down the alley and found his mirrored midfielder, Hinchcliffe, who finished the play to put the Trojans up 8–2.
The Bucks attempted a late rally. Rafalowski executed an alley dodge of his own and blasted a goal from the left side. However, the Trojans kept their foot on the gas as Davide Peliggi added his second of the game, finishing a feed from Reilly on the doorstep.
CB West refused to quit late in the fourth. Rafalowski drew a double team at the top of the box and slipped a slick pass to Collin Albrecht for a step-down goal. With only one minute remaining, Albrecht added a highlight-reel finish with a beautiful behind-the-back shot, bringing the final score to 9–5 in favor of the Trojans.
