Upper Dublin 16, Plymouth Whitemarsh 8
The visiting Cardinals opened up a 4-0 lead after one quarter and took an 8-3 advantage into halftime on their way to the conference win.
Michael Pileggi’s six-point game led a balanced UD attack while Tristen McNichol added a five-point game.
Vinny Afflisio had a big game at the faceoff X, winning 16 faceoffs. Ben Shervin was credited with 10 saves in a winning effort in goal for the Cardinals.
For the Colonials, Dylan Ippolito and Drew Strohl both had three-point games to lead the attack. Zach Strohl's eight ground balls led the defense.

A standout effort at the faceoff X by Cayden Weaver was a key to the Redskins’ non-league win Thursday. Weaver went 20-for-23 on faceoffs and also scored the game’s first goal 11 seconds into the contest. His six-point game led Neshaminy’s attack.
The Redskins also received a standout effort from their defense.

--The game: “Cayden Weaver set the tone, winning the opening faceoff, sprinting straight down ‘Route 1’, and scoring just 11 seconds in. He followed by winning the ensuing draw, which led to a possession and transition goal by Pietro Gatta 15 seconds later to make it 2 0. From there, we held the lead the rest of the way in a back-and-forth battle with a well-coached Red Hawk squad.
--Player of the game: “Weaver went 20-for-23 at the faceoff X, helping us control key momentum swings and dictate the tempo. He finished with two goals and four assists and was our player of the game.”
--Props: “Austin Tvarok added two goals and an assist, as did two-way midfielder Ryan Ganzel. Finn Pfluger scored twice, giving the sideline a spark with his exuberance, and Caden Fogleman was strong at both close defense and LSM causing turnovers, contributing to our 10-man ride, and adding a goal. Defensive midfielder Damian Castro, still new to the game, delivered another impactful performance with three caused turnovers and three solo clears, including the final one that sealed the win. Finally, props to Tim Peterson a two-year starting defenseman who broke his ankle before the season started for returning to the lineup and making his first start since the injury.”

Abington 10, Holy Ghost Prep 5
The Ghosts raced out of the gate to a 5-1 lead after one quarter and took a 6-3 advantage into halftime. They added to their lead in the second half on their way to the big win.
Conor Chapin and Connor Sullivan both had a hand in four goals to lead a balanced attack.
Abington’s defense – anchored in goal by Sam Ellner – also turned in a standout effort.

--Props: “We played very well as a team tonight.
“Our goalie, Sam Ellner, came up with some crucial saves. Our defense was stout and didn’t give up much while causing turnovers all over the field. Defenders were Liam Penderghest, Alen Mnatsakanyan, Trevor Holzhauer, Harry Kull, Jack Myslinski D-Mids: Cooper Blynt, Jake Del Rossi, Kai Taylor.
“Offensively, we shared the ball well with scoring from every attackman and O-Middy as well as an SSDM and 1 goal and 2 assists from LSM Liam Penderghest.”
