Council Rock South 11, Central Bucks East 9
Council Rock South stormed back from an early deficit to defeat Central Bucks East, 11–9, in league action.
Central Bucks East came out firing, netting the game’s first three goals and taking a 3–1 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Patriots maintained control into the second, extending their advantage to 5–2. But just before halftime, Council Rock South shifted momentum with two quick goals—one from junior LSM Brody Walker on a slick bounce shot and another from senior attackman Connor McCaffery—to close the gap to 5–4 at the break.
The Golden Hawks carried that energy into the third quarter. Cole Telegadis opened the scoring, and McCaffery added two more goals to give South its first lead of the game at 8–7 heading into the fourth.
In the final frame, Telegadis struck again to tie the game at 9–9. Shortly after, Brendan Rooney dodged from X and buried a shot on the run for what proved to be the game-winner, putting South ahead 10–9. As Central Bucks East pressed late, Brian Cowden sealed the victory with a clutch shot in tight.
Cowden finished with a goal and two assists, while McCaffery led all scorers with four goals.
For the Patriots, Davis Bullard led the attack with a hat trick. Alex Sipperly recorded 11 saves in goal and also scooped up four ground balls.

Gage Gottshalk netted the game-winning goal as Pennridge eked out a 10-9 victory over Central Bucks South in a thrilling National Conference showdown on Monday.
Sean Leuthe led the Rams with three goals and three assists. Justin Gramlich made 10 huge saves to help the Rams secure the win.
Zach Dever’s hat trick led the Titans. Blake Bernstein won 13 of 22 faceoffs, and Brayden Short was credited with 14 saves in goals. James Vargason’s seven ground balls led the Titans.

--The game: “It was a great game with a lot of back and forth and lead changes. CB South did a great job capitalizing on some failed clears and mistakes to take the lead in the fourth. They were up by two with around five minutes left when Sean Leuthe scored two in a row to tie the game up. Then Gage Gottshalk was able to score the game winner with a little over a minute left in the game to take and hold the lead.
“It was a great game and effort by both teams. After graduating a lot of seniors again last year, we have been working to get some experience for this year's starters and hoping we can continue to improve through the year as we have so far. I was proud of our guys for staying calm after going down two fairly late into the fourth quarter and pressing too much trying to make a play.”
--Props: “Great efforts by Kaiden Nguyen in the middle of the field and at D-middie, as well as our other D-mid Jack Stupakis. Close defense was anchored by Tyler Borneman with good games from Joe Stadulis, Aiden Stadulis, and Luis Nunes.”

Billy McBride scored four goals to lead a spread-out Council Rock North offense as the Indians topped Neshaminy 15-7 in Monday’s National Conference game.
Austin Tvarok had three goals and added an assist for Neshaminy.

Michael Rafalowski and Colton Albrecht were nearly unstoppable.
Rafalowski poured in a whopping 10 points on eight goals and two assists, while Albrecht contributed seven goals and two assists as Central Bucks West topped North Penn 19-7 in Monday’s National Conference game.
Killian Eickman won 21 of 29 faceoffs for the Bucks, who led 13-5 at halftime.

Colin Davidson has been very busy between the pipes for Upper Moreland this season.
He’s been extraordinarily successful as well.
In the 10th game of the season, the Golden Bears’ freshman keeper notched the 100th save of his career as part of his 11 saves as Upper Moreland blanked Cheltenham in the first half and picked up a 9-3 win in Monday’s American Conference matchup.
The Bears scored all their goals in the first half, leading 9-0 at the break. Pat Collins scored his first goal of the season and matched David Adamski with a goal and three assists.
“Both teams played hard,” UM coach Matt Beck said.

Hatboro-Horsham overwhelmed Quakertown from the opening draw, holding the Panthers scoreless in the first half while pouring in nine goals of their own on the way to doubling up the Panthers 12-6 in Monday’s American Conference game.
Anderson Kirby and Owen Fagan split time in goal for the Hatters, with Kirby recording nine saves and Fagan making seven saves while also scoring a goal during his time on the field.
Joe McFillin led the Hatters with 3 goals.

Trojans Outlast Ghosts in Hard-Fought Suburban One Clash
ABINGTON, PA — It was a picturesque afternoon at Abington Memorial Field as the Wissahickon Trojans (5-3) traveled to take on the Abington Ghosts (2-5) in a tightly contested defensive battle.
--A Slow Burn Start
The first quarter saw both defenses standing tall, resulting in a quiet opening period. The scoreless tie was finally broken with an incidental ground ball that crossed the Abington goal line after a shot by Wissahickon's Davide Pileggi to give the Trojans an early 1-0 lead.
The Trojans carried that momentum into the second frame. Austin Myers showed great vision, feeding Colin Murphy to double the lead at 2-0.
--Ghosts Answer Back
Refusing to fade, the Ghosts ignited a four-goal scoring run. Senior Matt Giannattasio was the catalyst in the comeback, dodging down the left alley and finding senior Brian Luskin on the doorstep for the finish. Minutes later, senior Liam Cabrey threaded a skip pass to one of the conference’s premier attackmen, Conor Sullivan, who hammered a step-down shot to knot the game at 2-2.
The Abington surge continued when Cabrey utilized a beautiful hitch to freeze the defense, freeing up sniper Will Wall at the top of the crease for another score.
--Battles at the "X" and in the Trenches
Wissahickon’s Nolan Reilly proved to be a force at the face-off "X," putting together a dominant performance. Reilly finished the day 14-for-15 on draws with 8 ground balls. The Trojans clawed back within one when Kyle Intal scooped a ground ball and found a cutting Reilly, who finished the play to make it 4-3.
However, Giannattasio struck again before the half, once again attacking the left alley and tucking a bounce shot past a screened goalie to put the Ghosts up 5-3 heading into the break.
--The Second Half Tug-of-War
The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair. Intal opened the scoring by dodging across the middle and unleashing a "rocket" into the back of the net to bring the Trojans within one. Shortly after, Link Matozzo beat his defender from the wing to tie the game at 5-5.
Abington reclaimed the lead late in the third when Liam Penderghast caused a crucial turnover, leading to a ground ball and a quick find to Luskin for his second of the day, making it 6-5.
--Trojans Surge Late
The fourth quarter belonged to Wissahickon. The Trojans took advantage of an extra-man opportunity as Chase Comer zipped a skip pass to Intal, who sniped the top right corner to tie the game.
With the game on the line, senior Paulie Brogan took over, dodging the alley and creating enough space to bury what would become the game-winning goal. To seal the victory, Austin Myers executed a perfect inside roll from the attack position, bringing the final score to 8-6.
--Excellence Between the Pipes
Both goaltenders were spectacular. Sophomore Sam Eller stood tall for the Ghosts with 8 saves. For the Trojans, junior Liam Ruhren turned in a 13-save performance. With that effort, Ruhren eclipsed the 100-save milestone for the season, maintaining an impressive 63 percent save percentage through nine games.
