PLYMOUTH WHITEMARSH 15, NORTH POCONO 0 (4 innings)
The Colonials put six runs on the board in the first and added eight more in the second on their way to the mercy rule win in Saturday’s non-league game. The Colonials pounded out 16 hits in the abbreviated contest.
Brody Stump’s three-hit effort led PW’s offensive charge. Spencer Rosen and Lucas Fresta both had three RBIs.

Key inning: Bottom of first – The Colonials seized control of the game with six runs in the first inning. Mason Eagland lined a single to right to lead off the inning, and one out later after Eagland stole second, Bobby Pasquarello singled home the game’s first run. Alex Kriebel doubled, and a run scored on Spencer Rosen’s groundout. Cole Reilly drew a walk, and Lucas Festa followed with an RBI single. Brandon Wooldridge doubled home a run, and two runs scored on Max Eagland’s single – the second on a North Pocono miscue.
Plymouth Whitemarsh coach Chris Manero:
“We hit the baseball well today. I think the numbers speak to that pretty clearly. But, it was also a reflection of how we maybe took a little ownership of a somewhat lackluster week at the plate and played with a certain intent today.”
Up next: Plymouth Whitemarsh will begin its three-game series with Quakertown on Monday at Quakertown (6:30pm).

UPPER MORELAND 18, ARCHBISHOP WOOD 7 (6 innings)
The Golden Bears scored three runs in the top of the first, added two more in the second and four in the third to open up a 9-0 lead, and they were just getting started on their way to the non-league win. It was UM’s seventh of the season without a loss.
Saturday’s 17-run output came on the heels of a 15-0 win Friday. Chase Moore’s three-hit effort led UM’s 18-hit attack.
By the numbers: Upper Moreland: Jackson Townsend (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBIs, 1R), Chase Moore (3-for-4, 2B, 2RBIs, 3R), Lucas Zipper (2-for-3, HR, 3RBIs, 2R), Bryce Fuller (2-for-2, 2B, 2RBIs, 2R), Jacob Spaetti (2-for-3, 2RBIs, 2R), Jimmy Murray (1-for-2, HR, 3RBIs, 1R).

Key inning: Top of third: The Golden Bears used a two-out rally in the third to go on top 9-0 on their way to the non-league win. With two outs and no one on, Luke Sword was safe on an error and moved up to second on a passed ball. Zach O’Connor’s single drove in Sword, and Michael Harter kept the inning alive with a walk. Both runners scored when Jimmy Murray ripped a three-run home run to left field.”
Upper Moreland coach Jim Fasano:
“A total team victory against a perennial powerhouse in Archbishop Wood. Those guys are extremely well coached by legendary dudes in the area, Jim DiGiuseppe Sr and Jr, both of whom I consider friends. I also know we’ve been more often on the short end against them, so I don’t take this for granted.
“Now that we’ve beaten traditionally great programs Methacton, Wood, and CR South (in a scrimmage) I should either play the lottery or wait for the impending end of the universe. Here’s hoping it’s the former and not the latter. Maybe we’re just pretty good this year.
“This is a great group of kids who’ve played together for a long time, including winning the Senior Little League State Championship in 2024. They love spending time with each other and even put up with me while we’re on the field, which I appreciate very much.”
--A power surge: “Seven starters had a hit, including home runs by Lucas Zipper and Jimmy Murray. This puts our season total at six, and before the year I set the team home run over/under at 2.5. I would’ve bet my mortgage on the under. This just goes to show what I know.”
--Props: “Really cool for Bryce Fuller to come in and get two hits, including his first varsity double. Bryce is the strongest kid in our program and going to study meteorology at Millersville next year. Bryce will be flashing his good looks and charisma on a TV screen near you in the next few years. I hear Cecily Tynan’s close to retiring!
“Mike Harter had the classic 0-for-0 with four walks, Josh Darsney had two hits in his two at bats, Jake Spaetti also had two hits. We are deep and guys contribute in a variety of ways.”
Up next: Upper Moreland will begin its three-game series at Cheltenham on Monday.
“Huge series this week against Cheltenham,” Fasano said. “The Ham is a formidable opponent, and we need to bring our A game to compete against them. But what more could we ask for? And as I often say, where else would you want to be? This is why they play baseball and why I love coaching it.”

HARRY S TRUMAN 7, ROMAN CATHOLIC 6
The Tigers earned the walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh when they broke a 6-6 tie.
Earlier, it looked as though they were in command when they opened up a 6-1 lead after a five-run fifth, but Roman Catholic scored five runs of its own in the top of the seventh to even the score 6-6.
By the numbers: Truman: Jacob Decaro (2-for-3, 1R), Gavin Kenworthy (1-for-2, 2B, 2RBIs, 1R)
Key inning: Bottom of seventh: The Tigers earned the walk-off win with a run in the bottom of the seventh when Chris Risko, who drew a one-out walk, scored on a Roman Catholic miscue.

The Cards took a 2-0 lead in the second inning, added a run in both the third and fourth innings on their way to the non-league win on Saturday.
Nate DiGiambattista and Ben Weiss combined for the win.

Key inning: Bottom of third – The Cards scored a run that gave them a 3-1 lead and turned out to be the game-winner. Eddie Stoffel lined a single to left field to open the inning, and he scored one out later when Gavin Litten doubled to left field.
Up next: Upper Dublin is off until next Friday when the Cards will travel to Strath Haven for a non-league game.
