The Falcons made it a sweep, winning their third straight over the Owls in their first 3-game series of the season.
Quinton Shaffer and Owen Hawkes combined for the win on the mound.
Pennsbury collected nine hits and also benefitted from nine free passes and four Owl miscues.

Key inning: Top of the fifth - The Falcons took a 1-0 lead into the fifth inning when they erupted for eight runs. Highlights of the big inning included doubles Brendan Zuckerman (2 RBIs), Michael Sogness, and Henry Garlits (RBI) as well as singles by Danny Seidler (2 RBIs), Carlton Crane and Pierce Perry (RBI).
Up next: Pennsbury will travel to Penn Charter for a non-league game Wednesday, and Bensalem will begin its three-game series against Neshaminy at home on Tuesday, April 7.

HAZLETON 8, NORTH PENN 4
Hazleton took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning only to see the Knights rally to knot the score with a pair of unearned runs in the third inning.
Hazleton took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning when Christian Barnes roped a two-run home run to center field to even the score yet again. Hazleton, however, scored four runs in the sixth, and this time, the Knights had no answer.

North Penn coach Kevin Manero:
“When Christian Barnes hit the home run to tie it up at 4-4, it was an electric high school baseball atmosphere in a big early season matchup. We just needed to cut down on the mistakes and play a little cleaner after that.
“We are battling a couple injuries right now and getting some things cleaned up. But I feel like this was a good game to grow from. We’d rather play a great program and have our mistakes exposed in March than get away with stuff now and be exposed in May.”

Both teams managed just four hits in Saturday’s non-league contest, but the Eagles capitalized on several costly Redskin miscues as well as nine walks to earn the non-league win.
Up next: Neshaminy will host Central Bucks West in a non-league crossover game Wednesday.
