Register Today for the Wright Basketball Camps

Registrations are being accepted for the upcoming Wright Basketball Camps, sponsored by Northampton Township Parks and Recreation.

A Day Camp for boys and girls ages 7-16 will be held at Council Rock North High School August 5-8, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp includes four full days of instruction, competition and fun as well as interaction with special guest speakers like Villanova’s Jay Wright, Temple’s Fran Dunphy and NBA players like Randy Foye and Dante Cunningham.

The Day Camp includes a daily individual improvement program based on age and skill. The camp’s “offensive progression” is drilled each day in camp, and everything that is taught can be practiced at home. The camp features the most experienced collection of basketball staff in the area and takes place in an air-conditioned, first class facility on the campus of Council Rock North High School.

A “Little Dribblers” Skills Clinic for boys and girls ages 5-8 will be held July 30 to August 1, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Holland Middle School. This is a fun three-day introduction to basketball that focuses on the ball handling drills and games. Each camper receives a free basketball to take home.

A “Players Only” Skills Clinic for boys ages 9-16 will be held July 30 to August 1, 9-11 a.m., at Holland Middle School. Space is limited at this clinic is for the passionate player. Groups are divided by age and ability. Spend three days with high school and college players and coaches working on specific skill sets. Each player will receive an individualized improvement plan to take home.

The cost of the Day Camp is $175 for residents of Northampton Township and $180 for non-residents. The registration fee for the “Little Dribblers” Clinic is $60 for Northampton residents and $65 for non-residents, and the cost for the “Players Only” Skills Clinic is $100 for Northampton residents and $105 for non-residents.
