Ziyon Smith, Jr., North Penn: The junior running back had an impact in every phase of the game in North Penn’s 41-7 win over Lower Dauphin. His 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half turned a 7-6 halftime deficit into a lead the Knights would not lose. He also had a pair of interceptions, including a pick six that he returned 66 yards for a touchdown, and Smith also had a pair of touchdown runs – one of 25 yards and another of 22 yards. He assisted on a tackle that resulted in a safety.

Offensive Player of the Week
Quasir Sampson, Wissahickon – The senior running had four touchdowns in Wissahickon 35-7 Upper Dublin. He surpassed the 100-yard mark in the first half and finished with 208 yards. He had three rushing touchdowns – 10 yards, 48 yards and three yards, and he also had a 25-yard touchdown reception, accounting for 233 of Wissahickon’s 328 yards of total offense.

Defensive Players of the Week
Pennsbury Team Defense - The Falcons’ defense pitched a shutout against Trenton Central in the Falcons’ 14-0 win. Jacob Depew and Luke Moyer each had interceptions. Sam Comer had a key second half sack from his defensive tackle spot. The defensive line was led by Comer, Jackson Coons, Gregory Campbell and Gabe Navarreto and put consistent pressure on the run game. While the linebacking group of Nate Ketchum, Noah McArdle, Henry Garlits and Justin LaRue along with the defensive backs of Luke Beighley, Garland Dockery, Jacob Depew and Luke Moyer held the passing game in check.

Special Teams Players of the Week
Justin LaRue, Pennsbury – The senior returned the opening kickoff of the second half 64 yards for a touchdown that broke a scoreless tie and gave the Falcons a 7-0 lead on their way to a 14-0 win over Trenton Catholic. LaRue also handled the punting duties for the Falcons, averaging 43 yards per punt often tilting the field position in Pennsbury’s favor.
Tom Schoepfer, Neshaminy – The senior returned a kickoff 91 yards for a touchdown in Neshaminy’s 20-13 win over Emmaus. His touchdown came after Emmaus took a 13-7 lead, and it gave the Redskins a lead they would not lose.
Sterling Limo Honor Roll:
Jacob Garrett, North Penn – The senior linebacker led the Knights’ defense with 10 tackles – two tackles for a loss – in North Penn’s 42-7 win over Lower Dauphin. The Knights allowed only a first-half touchdown.
Rocco Gregory, Neshaminy – The junior linebacker led the defense with nine tackles – two for a loss – in Neshaminy’s 20-13 win over Emmaus.
Liam Laphen, Central Bucks West – The senior tight end/defensive end was an impact player on both sides of the football in Central Bucks West’s 36-7 rout of Liberty. On offense, he hauled in a pair of touchdown passes. He also was also a catalyst on a defensive line that kept the Hurricanes from ever finding their offensive stride.
Gavin Mensch, William Tennent – The senior running back accounted for all three of his team’s touchdowns in William Tennent’s 20-7 win over Council Rock North.
Kevin Mullins, Neshaminy – With the Redskins clinging to a 20-13 lead, the junior corner back delivered an interception to seal the win for Neshaminy
Aidan Orensky, Plymouth Whitemarsh – Orensky had five catches for 113 yards in Plymouth Whitemarsh’s 21-20 win over Coatesville. His 45-yard touchdown reception with just over a minute remaining was the game-winner.
Brock Williams, Neshaminy – The senior running back had 177 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries in Neshaminy’s 20-13 win over Emmaus.
