July 6, 2026 - The Pennsylvania High School Softball Coaches Association (PAHSSBCA) Committee is pleased to announce its All-State Team for 2026. This team was selected from approximately 700 nominations by high school coaches and media members statewide. A first team and second team was then voted on and chosen for each of the six classifications. In addition, the committee also voted on the following awards: Overall PA Player of the Year, Overall PA Pitcher of the Year, and a Player and Pitcher of the Year in each of the six classifications. Lastly, the committee continued its Special Recognition Courage Award which was started in 2023 and is honoring two players in 2026 who have overcome some personal challenges this high school softball season.

PAHSSBCA Special Recognition 2026
COURAGE AWARD HONOREES
Sydney Callaway, Belle Vernon Area
Kylee Kulbatsky, DuBois Central Catholic
The first 2026 Courage Award Honoree, Sydney Callaway, overcame the unexpected death of her father on March 1 from a massive heart attack, just days before the season. She was not even sure she would play her senior year of softball in 2026 after this tragedy but ultimately decided to play and honor her father. Sydney was the starting second baseman on her varsity team.
The second 2026 Courage Award Honoree is Kylee Kulbatsky. She tore her ACL at the beginning of the season and played the entire 2026 season on this torn ACL. Kylee was the starting DP on her team. She postponed her surgery until after the season and helped her team to a District 9 Championship.
They are both to be commended for their commitment and dedication to playing high school softball under difficult circumstances.
