PA Sports Writers All-State Class 6A First Team
Tamia Clark (Jr/Upper Dublin) — A consistent riser in both skill and production, Clark’s continued growth earned her SOL Liberty Division Player of the Year honors. The 5-foot-9 wing posted 16.4 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 3.1 SPG this season while earning her third straight first team All-SOL honors. A fluid athlete, Clark has also improved as an outside shooter while converting 51.2 percent of her shots as a junior, and she enters her final season with 1429 career points. Emerged as an excellent defender this season, able to pressure the ball the length of the floor and keep talented opponents well in check, she also competes on the glass with 608 career rebounds to her name. A definite Division I prospect, she has two offers with plenty more programs having eyes on her.
PA Sports Writers All-State Class 6A Second Team
Emilia Coleman (Sr/Upper Dublin) — Coleman saved her best basketball for last, powering Upper Dublin to its second ever state title as their go-to scorer and an ace defender. The La Salle recruit averaged 13.3 PPG and 7.0 RPG and capped her final high school season with a game-high 17 points in the PIAA 6A title game and led UD in scoring in the District 1 final. A smart and disciplined player, Coleman can guard inside and on the perimeter and is excellent on the glass with 717 career rebounds while she excels as a shooter with 234 career made threes, including 72 longballs this season. A former AACA MVP at Gwynedd Mercy Academy, Coleman was the 24-25 SOL Liberty Division Player of the Year and was a first time All-SOL selection again this year. Departs with 1382 points and three first-team all-league selections between Upper Dublin and GMA.
PA Sports Writers All-State Class 6A Second Team
Megan Ngo (Sr/Upper Dublin) — The engine of the PIAA 6A and District 1 champions, Ngo not only returned to form on the court following an injury-hampered junior season, she emerged as the Cardinals’ undisputed leader in every aspect. A third-team all-state selection as a sophomore, the FDU recruit was the best version of herself, leading a dominant UD team at point guard. Ngo averaged 11.0 PPG, 6.3 Assists, 3.3 Steals, 3.0 Rebounds and had a 3.87-1 Assist-to-Turnover ratio. She is also unafraid of contact and led the team in charges drawn. Broke the program’s all-time assists record and departs with 689 career helpers to her name. Made 58 threes this year, 143 total for career. Scored her 1,000th point the same night she dished her 600th assist and finished with 1,143 points. Led the Cardinals to their first state title since 2018 and first district title since 2007. Four-time All-SOL player with three times on first team including this season.
PA Sports Writers Class 6A Coach of the Year
Morgan Funsten, Upper Dublin. Led the Cardinals to their first state title since 2018, first District 1 title since 2007 (his first in his 14 years) and second straight SOL Tournament title. Team went 32-2 with the only losses coming by a combined five points to nationally ranked Sidwell Friends and PAISAA champion Friends Central. Consistently has his teams prepared to take away opponents' strengths and adapts to his team's abilities every year.
